Atlas’ POV Onyx. That was my new favorite name. It suited her perfectly describing the color of her long, black shiny, silky hair that I wanted to run my fingers through. Fuck. Her scent was better than anything I had ever smelled in my life; coconut and with a hint of warm vanilla. I wanted to inhale that scent forever. Her eyes were the prettiest shade of purple I had ever seen. I never even fucking liked purple until I saw those gems. I was a compete sucker for her. Her skin was smooth and pale like porcelain, and her lips were so full and pink. I needed to feel them against mine.

His once dark brooding eyes seemed to have dimmed, leaving light flakes of onyx in their wake. I finally let my eyes drape shut, my consciousness wrapped around the lengthy arms of slumber, not before catching a glimpse of something I knew I would never forget in a hurry. Nick demanded. Evan looked into my eyes and shrugged. “What about them? Every second that passed dragged like an eternity. Selene’s breaths came in ragged gasps. Her eyes rolled back, then snapped open, now glimmering with an unnatural light. Her pupils stretched wide, irises flashing silver and gold. The guests recoiled at the sight. Nyra sobbed, clutching Selene’s chin to keep her eyes focused. “Mother, fight it!” Selene’s eyelids fluttered as though she fought against a force pulling her under.
