Curious, I pick up the top one, and instantly feel my eyes begin to water. "The Comprehensive Guide to Werewolf History," I read aloud, my voice barely above a whisper. I flip through the others: "Global Pack Atlas: Locations and Territories," "Lycanthrope Biology: An In-Depth Study," "The Social Structures of Werewolf Packs," "Lunar Cycles and Their Effects on Werewolf Physiology," there are many others in the stack.

"Geraldine, we shouldn't start a war we can't win." Geraldine glared at her, her legs propped up on a stool. "What do you mean? We can win anything. The werewolves have been in hiding since the great war because they are afraid." Lucy shook her head. "I don't think so. They are unpredictable, and you know it. What we should be worried about is the greater evil she spoke about." Geraldine looked puzzled. "I don't understand..."

I wonder how mad Jake is at me right about now, I mean he must have realized by now that I’m missing. Oh, and I know Manuel and Frederic probably hated my guts for leaving them on this adventure. Manuel was especially fascinated by the ability of werewolves to transform their body structures into a wolf. He always talked about how he wanted to study their shifts and record how it was possible because to us shadow hunters are still a mystery.

And I’ll have to ask Aldrich if he's willing to offer his blood. After our discussion about how the first Cursed Ones gained entry into Altair, I’m convinced that Werewolves are magical beings as well. If I’m successful in carrying out the ritual, it will prove once and for all that the shapeshifting ability of the Werewolves is indeed a form of magic, and they very much deserve to live in Altair like all other magical beings.

She’d piqued my interest and, at last, my canines began to pull upwards, and the aching in my jaw settled. “Werewolves, for instance, are forged from pure aggression. They are expert at winding lies into their own mythology – the Curse of the Moon, for example, made people believe that they needed a full moon to shift. They will say anything they can to get what they want. And what they want is… death. Death and destruction, vengeance and power and tyranny.

Caged in my own nightmare. I find my way back. By: Zingertje_123 I was always told stories about wolves, but this story was different. It was unknown for me. I never heard of it. The story started with… After the dinosaurs vanished from earth wolves took over the land. The first born wolves were born from the moon and the stars. They were a powerful individual. Some even say they were born out of the ashes of the meteor rain. They were bound by the moon goddess.

I let out a nervous chuckle, clearing my throat. “Well… something like that. We were hoping you might help us answer some questions about werewolves,” I replied. Professor Kira’s eyebrows shot up, a spark of intrigue glinting in her eyes. “Werewolves, you say? How interesting.” I glanced over at Lyra, signaling that it was her turn. She leaned forward. “I’ve read your book ‘The Creatures beyond us’, and I have to say, you’re a phenomenal writer. I thoroughly enjoyed it,” she complimented, her voice brimming with admiration.

It was somewhat humorous skimming through the stories. They were about werewolves, obviously, but they were much more exciting in comparison to the children’s books humans would read about werewolves. Another was about a female wolf worried about being far too furry and thought no boy would like her.

The books were the code of conduct of the werewolves for centuries and centuries, written and bound with magic with access granted to only the wolves council and it took the magic of more than one of them to access and open them. I took in a deep breath, "You mentioned red wolves being born with dark spirits but what if I am an exception." "Tha
