Sanctum of Flesh, Citadel of Eldros The doors sealed behind Lies with a heavy, moaning groan of ancient stone making her flinch. The sanctum pulsed with heat and silence—a silence thick enough to wrap around her thighs and crawl up between them. It wasn't just warm. The air was humid, saturated with something older than scent: magic steeped in lust, pressure, hunger. The walls themselves dripped faintly with condensation, like the stone was sweating in anticipation.

I deserved better, this stupid year was just kicking my ass. Assuring myself of this, I took a deep breath out, running a hand through my hair as I crossed the road, headed straight into the library, putting my phone into my jacket pocket. The town library was exceptionally big, not too large though, but I must admit could hold quite a lot of books as they were rows upon rows. I made my way straight to the books about fantasy creatures, realizing that they were surprisingly many. Young Adult fantasy is a thing...like a big deal, I noted reading through so interesting titles, but not the specific one I was looking for.

He went in front of the giant round door and when he made a push, the door opened like a revolving coin as he enters the room the door closes at the same time. What came to his view are a pile of books. The room was ginormous and majestic. He went straight to the center of the room and it took about fifty steps before he reach the center. He made a 360 degrees turn looking around. It felt like a library but there is only one study table at the far end of the room right under the humongous window that illuminates different shades of color under the ray of the sun. He noticed that the table has been piling with thick dust. No wonder the headmaster said there has been no student under this hous

The tallest must have reached at least 30 feet. “I read a book not long before finding this place. It had a dragon in it who lived on a volcano. I called this place Dragon Valley because of the volcano and the geysers. It also sounds pretty cool,” Ellie says, smirking. “How are you going to train me?” I asked her.

Yet another fantasy Prologue Legora, the largest capital city in the world. Once one of nine, now there are four. We had lost five cities in the great calamity. Creatures from god knows where poured in from a tear in the earth. A dimensional tear in space and time the men of science called it, but really who the fuck knows? All I know is they were bigger, stronger, looked nothing like us and they outnumbered us hundred to one.

If you’re below eighteen, you should not read these books as they feature a lot of violence, gore and sex. If you’re a fan of fantasy series with werewolves, demons, vampires, witches, gods and whatnot, you can read THE WICKED GAMES, which is the first in the series called The Spirileaxus Saga. Unfortunately, none of the books in this series is standalone, so you have to read them in chronological order. You can also go for CURSED BLESSINGS. Again, this is book one in the series The Blessed Ones.

My expectations of hefty magic tomes full of spells were quickly dashed. Laney’s idea of books was limited to fairy tales about princesses and knights and, of course, magic. Not exactly what I had in mind. As far as she was concerned, if it didn’t interest her, it didn’t exist. “This one’s really good,” she informed me, holding up a thin novel called Loved By Two Dragons. “He’s a dragon, but he’s also a handsome boy. But his brother’s even more handsome, and he’s an even bigger dragon!”

Feeling at a loss as to what to do with myself, I decided to explore the library. Wandering through the currently empty house on my way to the library, I begin to find myself feeling rather lonely. Flicking Kenzie a quick text to see what she is up to, I walk through the door and into the library. Perusing the shelves I see that the majority are classics such as Charles Dickens and Jane Austin. But tucked away in the corner I spy one of my favourite fantasy series. A Song of Ice and Fire by George R. R. Martin. Curling up in the lone red leather chair I open the first book and begin to read.

Why can't they just have one or two really good books, instead of three or four adequate ones? I pick up one of them, see that it's about good and evil fairies that are at war, and quickly put it back. I am not reading four hundred pages of fake conflict and two fairy hunks fighting over a fairy princess. Give me a cliché werewolf or vampire story any day.
