Half of them I never even knew were real, like the Merrow. Merrows are what the normies call a mermaid, except in cartoons they depict them as beautiful and innocent little women with a love for collecting shiny things. Well, Ariel aint got shit on a real Merrow, that’s for sure. Merrows are beautiful both in the sea and on dry land but they are also known for being quite vicious when they feel cornered or when someone tries to stake claim to something that is theirs.

Before I could say anything, she continued her scenario. "It doesn't take long at all before the dark mouth of a cave comes into view at the side of the river. Without hesitating, the mermaid swims you inside. In the pitch blackness, you're unable to make anything out as she continues forward before eventually coming to a stop. When I stopped walking and looked at her, questioningly, she said, “Ghosts don’t have semen, right?”

My brows pulled together with a sad smile and I went to sit with her on the bed. “I heard that Mer-King Merrick wants you to visit the mermaid islands.” “Yes. He claimed the best way to help figure out why I’m sleepwalking to the sea is for me to visit Holmeva Ferney.” She sounded skeptical. “He gave us a Turbinella pyrum shell to summon him once my parents make a decision.” “And?” I wanted to know their decision. Was she leaving us? An overwhelming amount of sadness settled in my stomach and heart.

I realized why they all believed the lake had special powers. The water were glittery with different colors portrayed depending from which angle you stared at.
