She quietly logged in. She did not use her known used name, NULLWRAITH. That name carried too much weight and history. Instead, she typed a simple unremarkable name. OBSIDIAN_13, and no one noticed. As for Florence, she logged in as AZURA, and the room buzzed. That name was famous, feared and respected. Nate also entered her username. VYREX. When the signal flashed green, ROUND ONE STARTED. The game dropped them into a digital battlefield of tight spaces, shifting terrain, and limited weapons.

He didn't understand what was so fun about the game, but everyone was playing it. Nathan had just recently had a virtual character named 'Pumpkin'. He bought a flirty red flower for it to wear on its head and topped up a lot of money in the game to build a luxurious profile for Pumpkin while buying expensive points for his character every time. Naturally, as one of the developers of the game, Hilda would join in as well. Both her laptop and phone had downloaded the game, and she had a total of 3 character, all of them named 'Nate'.

“It’s a little weird, but I like it.” “Says the girl who named her daughter Arya,” Owen says under his breath, and Quinn shoots him a look. I elbow him and he laughs. “I’m joking. Arya is a badass, and the name, I’m sure, will be fitting.” “Thank you,” Quinn says with a pressed smile. “Owen is a really good name for a boy,” Owen goes on. “It’s a strong, masculine name, and he will be destined for greatness.” “I’d make sure to avoid that one then,” Weston says and we all laugh.

-He said with a smile. - Do they have middle names? -Someone was watching Outlander. Luna laughed.... - Yes, do you want them to have one? - Oh, of course. But we don't know if they'll be two boys, or two girls, or a boy and a girl. In any case, what will they be called? -Um well, if it's two boys, one could be Theo, and the other Jamie, do you think? - Yes, I like them. And if they are girls, one could be Claire, and the other Frances. -He said smiling.

It felt like my only connection to him. From time to time, I’d look to see what new games had been created, knowing he’d had a hand in designing them. Sometimes I’d play them. Yes, I know that’s pathetic. But it felt like a safe way to remember Deacon without having to actually interact with him. As I flipped through the character choices in the new game, something stopped me in my tracks. One of the main characters looked different—yet markedly familiar to me. She was beautiful, just like my Sunny, and looked as if she had Down syndrome. Her name was Autumn.

she said and Xander smiled, he didn’t know why but he loved this young girl already. “Oh. That’s right, what are you playing as?” He asked and she beamed. “Daenerys Targaryen,” she said and Xander smiled, he remembered the name now. “Oh, a dragon queen, that’s nice. What’s your name sweetie” he asked and she grinned. “Mia, what’s yours, sir?” She asked and Xander smiled. “It’s Xander, nice to meet you, Mia,” he said and she waved as she walked away. “And you too Mr Xander”

He was growing up so fast that Jack knew the day would come when playing computer games with his old man would be too uncool for Riley, but while he could, Jack was determined to spend as much time as he could with his son. “Oh look,” Riley said, pointing to the screen. “Kei Ren is online.” Jack took a seat next to Riley and picked up a controller. Kei Ren was both an ally and an enemy, depending on the game. He was good, one of the best Jack had ever played against and that was saying something. The gamer tag came from one of the most popular games around at the moment. Kei Ren was the main character of the game Farrain, a fantasy role-playing game, but Kei Ren the gamer didn’t confine hims

“What kind of names do you like?” He brightened. “For a boy… maybe ‘Elliot’? For a girl, ‘Seraphina.’” “Beautiful choices,” I said, resting my head lightly on his. “I was thinking of something like ‘Lucien’ for a boy. Strong, timeless.” He practically melted. “I love that.” Every word I said was a lie. But each one was a step closer to freedom. If I had to fake a future to survive the present, so be it.

Carissa said, shaking her head before diving back into her experiment. Later that night, the two cooked instant noodles together, eating happily. Carissa blew on her noodles, glasses fogging slightly. “When my male doll hits the market, what should I name him?” Harper paused mid-bite. “Call him Chaser Boy.” “Chaser Boy? Isn’t that your Young Master Gallagher’s code name?” “Well… is my Young Master handsome?” Harper squinted mischievously. Carissa grinned, almost drooling. “Handsome! Absolutely stunning!” “Then it’s perfect!” ***

"- Before we leave, my beloved Dracono, I would love it if you would help me pick names for the babies. I tell Dracono knowing how happy he is. -Would you give me this honor, for real? You make me so happy, my queen! Dracono replies with a huge smile on his face. -Of course, my darling. What do you think about Giselle for the girl and Lucifer for the boy?" I ask Dracono. Dracono tells me that he loves both names, but suggests considering Annabelle for the girl and Damon for the boy. I think for a little while and realize that Damon and Annabelle are the perfect names to give to my children.
