After a few bites of blissful silence, Tate leaned back and looked at them both. “So,” he said, sipping his coffee. “Any names yet?” Tora and Jax exchanged a look. She nodded, letting him take the lead. “We’re thinking Kael for the boy,” Jax said. “And Liora for the girl.” Tabby’s eyes misted immediately. “Oh, honey… those are beautiful.” “Very strong,” Tate agreed with a proud nod. “Kael sounds like a warrior. And Liora… it’s like light. She’s gunna be a force.”

Resisting the Irresistible

Resisting the Irresistible

“I do not know, Autumn, I suck at this. You should buy one of those Baby Names books when the time comes.” Autumn finally cracked and laughed. “I was joking when I asked you but now that you seemed to give it a thought. How about boys? What would you name a baby boy?” “This one’s easy,” I smirked. I loved how random our talks were sometimes. “Aragorn from Lord of The Rings, Niklaus, and Kol from The Originals, Ash aka Ashley Williams from The Evil Dead Trilogy, Yoda from the Star Wars cos he’s a legend, Mr. Deadpool aka Wade Wilson, and last but not least, Severus Snape from Harry Potter because he made me believe in true love with his amazing one-word quote: always.” I took a deep breath, f

“I didn’t know we were picking names yet.” “We’re not,” I said quickly, heat rushing to my cheeks. “I was just wondering if you’d thought about it.” Graham’s smile deepened, slow and warm. “I might have a few ideas.” “Like?” He brushed his thumb along my knuckles. “If it’s a girl, maybe… Alina. My grandmother’s name. She was strong. Brave.” I felt a lump rise in my throat. “That’s beautiful.” “And if it’s a boy…” He hesitated, eyes glinting with a touch of mischief. “Maybe something fierce. Like Orion. Or Kai.”

She yelled. "You can't blame me for wanting a special name for my baby." I muttered. "There are so many special names! Well, you have me now. What about Voldemort?" I looked at her waiting for her to laugh at the joke but she kept a straight face. "You're joking, right?" "Of course not! I like the name, it's cute." She glared at me like I just stole her firstborn child. "Well, I obviously don't like it." "Okay, what about Brogan, Talon, Chardonnay, Neo, Brent, Luigi, Carlo, Smith, Thomas, Robert?"

"And Aud's second name, which is 'Rei', is from Miss Jonaxx's story: To Fall Again." As I continued to tell Hen that story, I suddenly missed being a bookworm. If I didn't have a big problem facing me right now, I probably would have finished reading many of her books. "Hmm... it looks like you know a lot of beautiful names because you're a book lover, Kris." Out of the corner of my eyes, I saw him turn his gaze towards me. "What if we can use the names of fictional characters that you know that will benefit our next ones…” When I gave him my stare after hearing what he said, he averted his gaze. "Uhm... maybe our first?"

Hana asked. “Nope,” Camilla replied. Looking at Faye, she rolled her eyes. “He’s never around.” “Your schedules clash, okay?” Faye said in her defense. “Anyway, you’re overreacting.” Camilla pouted, and Hana rushed to the rescue. “Don’t worry, for my next book, I’ll have a character whose name is Vanya,” she said, tapping a finger to her lips. “I’ll make him the bad guy. Maybe mafia. Vanya does sound like a Russian name. So he will be in my mafia romance.”

"About how Daddy changed." "Will we be in it?" Nova asked. "Yes. But we're not using your real names. We're protecting you." "What names are you using?" "We haven't decided yet. Maybe you can help us choose." Rowan thought about it seriously. "Can my character be named Max? That's cool." "And mine can be Stella!" Nova added. "Max and Stella it is." Asher wanted to be a dinosaur. We told him we'd see what we could do. "When can we read it?" Rowan asked.

I said, to Leia who was resting her head on my chest. “Okay, so here it fucking goes. List number one are the normal fucking names, like. Nova, Cara, Aria and Aurora.” “They’re all cute names. What about the not normal list?” I said, very curious how strange these names would be. “Okay, these are all inspired by fucking movies or games. So Rayne, Willow, Rey, Ripley, Aeryn, Elora and Allana.” I laughed, “is it wrong that I like the movie names better? So which one is your favorite?”

This is the incredible second book in the series. I fell in love with the characters in Alpha Osiris, and it is amazing to see how they grow and develop. Truly well written, great story lines, lots of steamyness, and great humor. I can't wait to see what Naomi D has is store next, for her readers.

So great seeing how the next generation is experiencing life in Iron River Pack. This book follows the teens as they come of age. All the characters from Alpha Osiris are here. I’d like to see more of the other kids as well. Very interesting so far. I love getting updates from the OG crew.

Maverick questioned to which Naitee nodded her head vigorously before saying " Yes. I've many but I like Hitesh, Daksh, Kalpit and Ojas " " Hmm, these are good names but none of them is from my culture. Nevermind. I have chosen a few names, Dylan (one who wins over people's minds), Felix (a fortunate person), Eric (a ruler of peace), Ethan(strong and powerful), Irvin (colour of peace, a beautiful white colour) " Maverick said and Naitee state after him " All these names are good too but I want our firstborn to have a name from my culture "

Frequently Asked Questions

Naming characters is one of my favorite parts of writing! For a fantasy novel, I'd go for something melodic but with weight, like 'Elysara Veyth' or 'Kaelthor the Sundered.' Those names feel ancient yet fresh, like they belong to a world of magic and forgotten lore. For sci-fi, sharp, futuristic names work—maybe 'Zyr-9' or 'Nexis Vail,' which sound like they could pilot a starship or outsmart an AI overlord.

Contemporary stories need names with personality quirks—'Dashiell Finch' for a witty detective, or 'Luna Reeves' for a free-spirited artist. I love digging into etymology or mashing up syllables until something clicks. Once, I combined 'serene' and 'aster' to get 'Seraster,' which became a queen in one of my drafts. The key is balancing uniqueness with readability—no one wants to stumble over a name every page!
