Gray Eyes

Gray Eyes

The lady said typing away at the computer. Jade walked to the back wall, scanning the books, she found a book called ‘The Forgotten Sorrows.’ She planted herself on the floor and started to read into it. It didn’t detail too much into the whole history before the witch burnings, but when it started in on the witch burnings, it turned brutal.

The Second Time's a Charmer

Her fingers trailed each of the book’s spines while muttering the titles, Valencia is searching for the book named, ‘The Golden Success’, a manual literature that made the world’s well-known businessmen and businesswomen massively successful. She leaned her right shoulder on the bookshelf exhausted with her head hung low, groaning tiredly, “This is going to take me for ages.” A clacking sound of heels echoed in the interior hall, she swift her head behind to see a woman in her early 50’s pulling a trolley stacked with a mountain of books, she immediately strutted towards her, “Excuse me Ma’am!” the woman jumped in startle from her voice, “M-miss don’t surprise people like that!” the woman li

The Blue Moon

The Blue Moon

Ameliah asked with a curious expression… “I know you more than you know yourself my child” The old woman said with a smile. Ameliah stood there confused by what the woman was saying. “Which book do you want my child?” The woman asked. Ameliah came back to her senses and looked at the stack of books. She went through it and finally picked a book. “I’ll take this one”Ameliah said as she showed the book to the old woman. The old woman smiled as if she knew already what Ameliah would choose. Ameliah paid the old woman and looked at the book cover, it looked old.

The Woman He Lost

The Woman He Lost

“Good work noticing it. Keep this quiet. No one outside this room can know how aware we are.” The woman’s eyes widened slightly, but she nodded. “Of course, Ava. I won’t say a word.” “Good,” Ava said, offering a reassuring smile. “That’s why you’re here. Observant, discreet. We need more people like you. Every small observation matters.” Once alone again, Ava returned to her desk, eyes scanning the timeline. Each step was designed to provoke just enough disturbance to expose Mrs Carter’s decision-making weaknesses without revealing her own hand. The game required patience, observation, and subtle influence. And Ava had all three in abundance.

WICKED PROVIDENCE Book 2

WICKED PROVIDENCE Book 2

“I didn't do it! Sophie—I mean, Madison—did it! Why are you biting me?” Debbie, assisting the healers with the stretcher, turned with a roar of fury. The gentle omega was gone. “Do you think our eyes are clouded? We all saw your paw strike that fungus! Harper would be standing if not for your stupidity! That mushroom is the ‘Widow’s Breath’! If Harper’s heart stops, you will answer to the High Council!” Saniya’s facade broke into pathetic sobs. “I didn't know! If Harper hadn't jumped in, nothing would have happened! It is just her bad luck!”

The Woman He Never Wanted

The Woman He Never Wanted

A chubby lady questioned him, giving him death stares, which made him wonder what exactly he had done. Astounded, he denied stalking her and moved to walk out of her sight when she stopped him again. Losing his patience, he turned around to face her. " I won't call the police, just hand that book over" she said, sipping her coffee. He looked heavenward, cursing her in his mind. Never was he willing to release the book or reveal his identity either. " I know you picked that book mainly because of me. Hand it over nicely and I'll let you in on some information about me"

Good Girl in Action

Good Girl in Action

“Let’s make them feel that we’re their family. They’re half-human. I’m sure they’ll understand. Let’s be gentle. Use your charms.” “My charms only work with Sojin. I hope he’s here so I can fool him and trade the ritual with a dance,” he said in disappointment. We split up and executed our objectives. I drifted my eyes and searched for someone with a friendly aura that will not kill me in a snap. I went to the bookshelves and grabbed a book. Good thing it doesn’t have glasses, I’m slightly traumatized for a while. My peripheral vision caught a tiny figure who was trying to reach for a book above her. The scene was quite familiar to someone like me who has watched a lot of romantic teen ficti

What should I say about this story? It's just awesome. It got a good plot and appears promising. Author has done an awesome job in depicting the emotions portrayed by the characters n fantasy world build up. I usually don't read fantasy genre, but this one caught my eyes. Kudos to the author .........

A Widow’s Child, A Wife’s Goodbye

A Widow’s Child, A Wife’s Goodbye

另一边; The clinic smelled of disinfectant and faint lavender. Daniel stood beside Eleanor, one hand resting lightly at her back as the nurse called her name. It was supposed to be a simple visit—one last prenatal check before he left to “inspect the front-line camps.” That was the story he had told everyone. Including himself. Eleanor moved slowly, deliberately. She wore a pale blue dress that accentuated her belly just enough to invite attention. As they walked through the corridor, two officers’ wives nodded at her with practiced sympathy.

My Seven Gorgeous Women

My Seven Gorgeous Women

More chilling than the temperature was the woman's gaze. Like the previous Eastern Guardian, her entire body appeared to be transparent glass, with only her skeleton emitting fluorescent light. The previous Eastern Guardian could instill fear in people. This woman, however, made people find her unapproachable. "Who are you?" the mysterious woman asked. Her voice was equally cold, but she seemed to have no connection to the Eastern Guardian. "We have come to seek the secrets of this world's Glazed Kingdom. A ghost named the Book Immortal told us that defeating the four guardians would give us the answer."
