Good Girl Gone Bad

Good Girl Gone Bad

My hands moved mechanically, but my mind wandered, replaying Annalise's words. What does she mean she wasn't here out of fear? Who in their right mind would stay in a suffocating place like this? And who in their right mind would serve a monster like him, willingly? My elbow brushed against a bookshelf, innocuous at first glance, its shelves crammed with leather-bound tomes. A carved eagle's eye caught my attention—a detail too intricate, too lifelike. Curiosity, that treacherous thief, made me press it. A soft click echoed, I initially took a step back when the wall began to tremble and to my surprise the bookshelf slid open like a secret exhaling.

The Woman Who Cracked The Code

The Woman Who Cracked The Code

She always had been, and that was the most dangerous thing about her, the way she wore her intelligence quietly, the way she let men like Elias feel clever while she watched every room for the exit. She knew something was wrong. She just hadn't found it yet. "Good," Elias said, turning back to me and straightening his jacket. "Then we're finished here. Take the old woman." My heart lurched. "That wasn't the agreement," I said, keeping my voice flat. "I give you the key, you give me my mother." Elias corrected pleasantly. "I need your mother a little longer for insurance. You know your daughter goes home with Isabella."

The Woman Who Could Call Fire

The Woman Who Could Call Fire

i would watch what you do " the queen said making a movement for the guards to grab me, All i could do was stare accusingly at them , i just couldn't understand why they were doing this "when we realized your mother didn't die from a illness we made for her to die , we figured out who she really was and where she came from . When we found her on our land we thought she was a measly servant not a spy sent here from the north to get details on when our next hunt would be " she said walking around me . " you see she opened our eyes to the truth not to mention her mate was my husband " the queen said in disgust. There was that one word again that made my entire body feel like it was on fire

His Kind Of Woman

His Kind Of Woman

I don't want to sound cold but that's exactly how I feel whenever I think about it. She was a good person. She laughed a lot, held doors for strangers, planted more flowers than most greenhouses, and never forgot a birthday or anniversary. And I know this shouldn’t matter, but she was beautiful. She was beautiful in all of those dreamy and intangible ways that all moms are, but she was also just really pretty. I always wonder what she saw in that monster to decide to marry him and even have a child with him. He was a danger to our family and he was the reason it broke down just like a house of cards.

The Good Wife

The Good Wife

"After learning about the problems Delancy was having with her husband, she decided to stay with me for a while to sort things out between them. I was so angry at first but my heart slowly grew towards Kerrick when Delancy spoke to me about his past. Trust was the hardest thing to regain in their relationship, Delancy told me, and Kerrick was very difficult with opening up to anyone. They started going to counselling sessions and slowly improvements started showing between them both. She eventually moved back with him because he never stopped coming to see her and showering her with flowers and gifts and I could see it that she missed him a lot. Kerrick, as cold as he seemed, had a warm, goo

I had the urge to touch it, so I reached forward for it. "I wouldn't touch that if I were you," I jerked at the gruff voice and turned around. It was an old woman with grey asymmetric Bob hair and beautiful brown skin. She held a walking stick with a snake's head and red eyes. She wasn't green, blue, or decapitated like the others, she looked like a real woman. "That book might be titled 'NAMES', but it is not a good book. Those five letters stand for something, terrible things. Open that book and you won't love what you will see,"

The Governor's Wife

The Governor's Wife

Mine had already drained away, replaced by something colder, heavier—worry. My thoughts spun as I stared out the window. I couldn’t keep clashing with him like this. That ridiculous book, The Perfect Wife, flashed through my mind—its chapters on handling dominant men. Softness. Vulnerability. Subtle rebellion. A woman with fire, but without the flames. Sweet enough to draw in. Dangerous enough to chase.

Perer Ford: Diary of a Stranger

The blonde woman asked furiously. "The light is not coming from me. It is coming from inside the book," Goodness said. Slightly angered, the blonde woman took the light in his hand and put it away. "There you go," the blonde woman said with delight. "The light has been removed. Can you see any light coming from the book again?" "I can't," Goodness replied. "That is because there is none and there never was. I can't believe you actually believe what I said about this book lying here for a century without being read by a single person. Take a look at the top of the book. What does it says?"

HIS SECRETARY'S SECRET

HIS SECRETARY'S SECRET

She said she wrote the book to help other women avoid manipulative men like me. I watched one interview against my better judgment. The host asked Karen what she wanted readers to take away from her story. She said "I want women to know that powerful men will use you and discard you. That promises mean nothing when it's inconvenient. That I'm not the villain in this story. I'm a survivor."

It was cluttered with books and materials of all sorts. Several opened books were scattered on the computer table, with red marks and notes scrawled across the pages. Someone had been studying very hard there. Nathan slowly walked over and flipped through the books. Psychology? He frowned as he took in the room. He saw a lot of books on the shelf that didn't belong to him. His gaze was locked on the titles. "Best Ways to Handle Toxic People". "The Key to Overcoming Nasty People" "Foundations of Psychology" Nathan's lips curled slightly as a smirk played on his face.

The story between Chubs and Nate got pretty dragging but I can't complaint, since I did end up loving this novel more than I thought I would. Halfway through 1088 chapters, things got more interesting and the ending was pretty good. Thanks for making the stories worth reading.

I really like the book, i've been stuck on it since i've found it .. it's just that the chapters are too short, it's basically a money grab... irritating that you can't read for at least 2-5 mins without having to pay for a new chapter.
