My Alpha mate, Kane, finally reached out through the mind-link after three days of me not showing up at his door to make a scene. His voice cut into my head, carrying a rare trace of satisfaction. "Looks like you finally understand that the rules of the Blackwood Pack aren't just for show. Since you've learned your lesson, I'll give you the pass to the healing springs. And stop making a fuss over every little thing where Selena's concerned." I didn't answer. Just looked down at the bloodstains still dried between my thighs. Kane probably thought I'd finally learned to obey. Learned to bow my head to him and Selena. No one believed that I, as Luna, had to apply to Beta Selena just to use the

Behind her, the table was silent, and none of them dared to speak until her footsteps had faded. ----- The Starlite Motor Inn sat at the edge of a highway forty miles from anywhere, a strip of peeling doors under a buzzing pink sign that had lost half its letters. The vacancy light flickered. A truck idled in the gravel lot, and somewhere in the dark a dog barked at nothing.

"Ronan! Target the center boulder on the upper shelf! Spears on my mark!" "Brace!" Ronan yelled, six of his strongest Moonridge warriors stepping forward, their heavy, silver-tipped spears balanced over their shoulders. "Launch!" The weapons flew through the howling wind, striking the frost-cracked stone with a deafening crack. The ancient boulder splintered, the structural integrity of the upper ledge vanishing in a single heartbeat. A massive wave of snow, ice, and heavy stone came cascading down, burying the first line of Blood Moon archers before they could release their strings.

The night hung heavy with a silvery glow as Alpha Jake drifted into a deep sleep, the realm of dreams unfolding before him. In the ethereal expanse, the Moon goddess, an embodiment of wisdom and grace, materialized before him, her celestial presence casting a gentle radiance. "Alpha Jake," she spoke, her voice a melodic echo, "the threads of fate weave intricate patterns in the tapestry of your life. There is a path that leads to happiness and protection for both you and your chosen Luna, Mara."

Bedtime. Usually, this was Aurora's domain. It was her sacred hour, the time when the CEO vanished and the "Maman" took over. She would read Goodnight Moon or The Little Prince, her voice a soft, rhythmic lullaby that chased away the dragons. But tonight, Liam stood in the doorway. He was wearing a simple gray t-shirt and sweatpants, his feet bare on the plush carpet. He held a book in his hand. Not a picture book. A chapter book.

she says, “the Moon waxes.” “I know.” I look at her. “We lower training, increase quiet window.” On Moon days, the children always want more, faster. That’s when we give them less stimulation. We don’t resist the Moon’s rhythm—we frame it. The children sleep in their room. The nurse reads. At the threshold, the guard leans against the wall, watchful. The eastern rune-stone gives no sign by nightfall. The palace is quiet now. That’s not forever. But today, it’s what we have.

How fucking lame is that? ‘The mobile,’ Ares grumbles from the abyss. His reminder brings my attention to the hanging structure above my son’s bed. Walking closer, I gaze at it. It is beautifully crafted. The tent covering the moon is a beautiful navy blue, constellations’ decorate the top, reminding me of the night sky. Underneath sits the triple moon. Upon closer inspection, a key sits in the full moon at the center. Wolves circle the moon, their howling and running figures hanging by fish wire.

Justin remained staring out at the blackened sky from the window. He hadn't spoken to me for some time seemingly content to stand in silence. Emma left for her shift a while ago to prepare breakfast for the morning meal. She wouldn't be back for some time. The stars flickered through the curtains dotting the ceiling in starlight. The snow capped mountains beyond stood proud and ominously against the star flecked sky. “Goodnight Val.” Justin eventually murmured heading for the door.

Every single time Iris tried to turn her body Leonard stopped her movements knowing that she couldn't sleep on her back if the wounds were needed to heal fast. Hours passed her breathing became a little relaxed. Leonard let out a huge sigh and decided to close his eyes to get some sleep when thunder roared. Lightening hit the sky, piercing through the cloud and the gush of winds forcefully opened one of the windows in his room. The crescent moon lost long back behind the grey clouds. Terrible harsh winds slid through the open place, making few things of his room fly. The dust was entering too creating a mess. "Not this time." Leonard carefully pulled his hand out from the back of Iris's head

If there was anything in the world that Liam Watcher hated more than small town football, it was being the star of small town football. Well that, and vampires. As his alarm blared loudly by the side of his bed for a six in the morning wake up call for his football game, he slammed his hand on the alarm clock. He sighed angrily, then sat up and rubbed his eyes. After a long night of playing games and hanging out with his friends, he felt exhausted. How was he supposed to go to bed early for the game when his friends needed him in Call of Duty? Now, however, he wished he had gone to bed earlier. His eyes were bloodshot and crunchy from the lack of sleep.
