Warrior of the Way

Warrior of the Way

Trace stared at her a moment, thinking that kissing her from now on would be weird. A gargoyle screeched as it moved toward him, and Trace turned to face the creature, just as the door to the basement burst open and Rhychard entered the room followed by a host of others. Halafarin entered the room right behind Rhychard, his head twisting in all directions as he searched for something. Then, the elf froze when he saw Giselle draining the life force from the dark elf. He held his sword high as he charged, screaming, "Aswang!" as he did.

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

CRAVING THE ALPHA SURGEON

I had to keep studying—this was the only way I could avoid his gaze and his presence. After a few more pages, my eyes drifted to the large bookshelf along the living room wall. It was filled with thick volumes, most in Latin or old English. Slowly, I stood and approached it. My fingers brushed over a spine, trying to read the titles. Anatomi Licanthropica, Genealogy of Packs, Mutatio Lupus. I pulled one out, nearly choking when I saw its contents—pages full of strange illustrations: skeletal figures half-transformed into wolves, notes on dual circulatory systems, and countless terms unfamiliar to me.

The War of the Royals: The Alpha's Rose Conclusion

The War of the Royals: The Alpha's Rose Conclusion

“I will leave these for you to read through so you can see her descension into black magic and maybe one of you can pick up on anything we might have missed. I have magically blurred the pages which deal with straight black magic; those spells and locations on ingredients are not things we need just anyone to read about or have access to. My circle and I have already hunted down several persons of interest mentioned in here, but we have several more to go.” I look over at the books again and one seems to be different than the others. It has a light glow about it, and it sounds like it’s whispering to me. I feel compelled to hold it and read it. Giselle looks over at me then back at the book

Beneath The Howl

Beneath The Howl

Always me. “Morning, healer.” Kael didn't greet him. Typical. “What did you find?” I asked. Bren pointed at the water. “This.” I knelt beside him—and froze. Dead fish. Dozens of them. Floated up along the shore, their scales pale, eyes clouded, bodies stiff. All of them with the same odd discoloration beneath the gills—a greyish-green marbling that looked disturbingly similar to the veins spreading along the spines of the sick pack members.

First Bite

First Bite

As if in response to the revelation, the page ignited, flickering to life before crumbling into ash, leaving nothing but soot in its wake. In the glassy surface of the window, Autumn caught a glimpse of a figure—her reflection twisted by the shimmering light behind her. A smile crept across Mara’s face, dark and unnerving, as if she held secrets that would unravel the very fabric of Autumn’s being. Tristan lay entwined in the depths of his dreams, a heavy fog surrounding him, when he found himself face-to-face with his ancestor. Bastian Thorne, a figure hauntingly familiar yet steeped in the shadows of history, walked the precarious edge of the Hollow. His presence was a blend of strength an

THE CAPTIVE'S LOVE

THE CAPTIVE'S LOVE

With that, Emereah's gaze frozen, her body coiling in wait for what was to come. The wind wailed its mournful melody through the trees, its ghostly cry a warning knell, and yet she did not move. At her side, Vladimir's white-knuckled clenched grip on his sword whitened, his eyes bulging with increasing comprehension of the storm that came. The air chilled, the trees themselves distorting as Morgane's hunger leaked out, a black corruption spreading down channels of land and tree.

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

The Rejected Healer's Retribution

It resembled heat haze over a frozen pond. Roric raised his lance, but Kael gestured for him to wait. "Don't waste the charge." Out of the gray mist emerged a wolf. But it wasn't an ordinary wolf; it was a Ghost-Packer. It stood nearly seven feet tall, made of a translucent, oily smoke that shifted and swirled. Instead of eyes, it had two hollow cavities filled with flickering violet static-the remnants of a soul deleted by Liora's "Link," yet refusing to leave the physical plane.

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Crown

Rejected by the Alpha, Claimed by the Crown

My heart dropped. “You see,” the demon continued, “treasures always demand a price.” Her voice drifted like smoke. “If you want the truth, go to the Stormspire Mountain. Every answer you seek waits there.” The doors burst open as the werewolf elders stormed in. Outside, strange, soft-bodied creatures were fighting the police—boneless, writhing, crawling across the garden like massive larvae. I stared at them in horror. The worms. “Oh,” Thalmyr giggled. “You’ve found my little gift. Do you like it?”

Transylvania Academy: What It Takes To Be a Monster

Transylvania Academy: What It Takes To Be a Monster

Clad in her usual gothic dress made of black lace and black stockings paired with black-colored wedge sandals. Maleficent’s long raven hair fell like waterfalls onto her back as she sashayed towards the dining room. The empty hallway that she walked past was decorated with paintings hanging to the dark-painted walls. The paintings depicted images of different creatures which were having a feast with the humans as food – at every apex of the center stood an image of a bat-like beast with a familiar-looking set of horns and pair of wings. Cent concluded that the paintings were the history of this mansion and were painted by her father. Aside from paintings, statues made of marble littered ever

It's a good book as far as I have read so far. I'm getting discouraged, though. I'm running out of patience and time for these types of stories. "Neverending" stories where some chapters repeat themselves for some reason or other drives me bunkers. Just saying. I prefer shorter stories.
