Throne of Blood

Throne of Blood

We not only invite our friends here, but also our rivals. Heaven and hell. Angels and demons. River Amber, it shouldn't have come as a surprise that my father was lyrical in that sense given his upbringing. His ancestry dates back to the beginning, commencing at the end of World War II with my grandparents; he was not just the ruler of one of the most prosperous kings in London and Russia. I am part of that bloodline. In fact, I’m the only one who can protect it anymore.

The Luna's Last Stand: Betrayed and Rejected

The Luna's Last Stand: Betrayed and Rejected

“I will tell you… but you might not believe me.” She paused again before she continued. “A long time ago,” she began, “your grandmother had two sons. The first son… he was the one who fathered you and Vivian. But your grandmother’s husband—your grandfather—he had a sickness in his body. A strong sickness. And that sickness passed down into the family.” I didn’t interrupt. I just watched her, my heartbeat suddenly louder in my ears. “That sickness,” she continued, “affected both of your grandmother’s sons. And it didn’t stop there. It also passed down to the grandchildren. It’s a sickness that travels through the bloodline. A sickness that destroys the body slowly… painfully.”

Rejected by my Alpha, Loved by my Beta

Rejected by my Alpha, Loved by my Beta

“No. The rest have residual primordial blood coursing through their veins — echoes of the ones who came before — but it’s dormant. They can never actualize those powers. For them to awaken anywhere except within the royal family is unusual. Your ancestors were one such exception, although I am unclear how you fell outside the pack’s fold. Maybe an offshoot, cut off by war or exile.” The news washed over me with the force of a tidal wave. My coffee grew cold and forgotten, untouched steam curling as I absorbed it; mysterious recollections, sleeping bloodlines, my own ancestry linked to this mythical pack? It was too much; my thoughts spun, shards of my past breaking apart all over again. Who

The Alpha who was never mine

The Alpha who was never mine

“Old pack. Traditional. Your family has been there how long?” “Generations, I think.” “You think?” A slight smile. “You don’t know your own family history?” “I know some of it.” “Some.” Mrs. Cross took another sip. “What about your bloodline? Your mother’s side specifically.” “I don’t know much about my grandmother.” “That’s unfortunate. Lineage is important in our world.” Mrs. Cross paused. “It tells us about strength. Compatibility. Potential.” The word potential landed heavy. Elena’s nails pressed into her clutch. “My grandmother died before I was born.”

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

Accidental Surrogate for Alpha

I’m not happy about it either, but I’m also dreading another traumatizing visit to my past. “Before he arrives I think we should take some blood samples from you, Ella.” Henry suggests. “I know the doctors in Moon Valley didn’t find any genetic matches for you, but there’s a chance that we can trace your ancestry by looking at genetic traits which have historically been documented in certain bloodlines. It won’t help us if the inherited genes aren’t expressed through ancestral phenotypes, but certain markers in your DNA might still allow us to draw important connections.” “But surely that would only work if my ancestors come from a bloodline deemed worth documenting.” I object uncertainly. “

I love this book! I hate that chapters are barely two pages and at this rate I’m probably not going to see the end. For the cost at this rate I could have bought quite a number in physical form. As I have so far spent just under of $100 this is most likely my last Good Novel purchase.

Rejected By My Alpha: His Second Chance

Rejected By My Alpha: His Second Chance

"This mark is no accident decoration. It's a birthright." His fingers were hot on my skin, causing shivers down my spine unrelated to the cold of the morning air. "My grandmother's eyes were the same as yours," he continued, his voice low and close to a whisper. "She shared with me stories of the old bloodlines. The royal families that ruled prior to the packs dividing into territories." Royal bloodlines. The words should have sounded ridiculous. Yet they seemed to hum somewhere deep in my chest, as a recollection of something I'd once possessed.

Melanin Diaries: Perfectly Imperfect

Melanin Diaries: Perfectly Imperfect

I wasn't sure what happened here yet, so I didn't want to act on an impulse that would cause a horrific chain reaction. "His ancestry, my ancestry rather, hunted and killed just for the fun of it. They were skilled, instinctive and gifted, but the type of animals they hunted were a spec." "Angel—" "To cut the long story short, my ancestors hunted humans, I come from a long line of murderers." She stood up abruptly from the ground and walked out of the shadows. And then it clicked into place when I saw how much blood she was covered in. "Father always said the urge to kill was infused into their veins, and transferred from descendants to descendants. Dad had said as long as it is Badmus' bloo

I could tell Saiora was going to take lead in explaining my worries. "Well, Ren every pairing connection happens for a reason. The more double-bloods in your family bloodline, the more likely you'll have a solu matia who isn't from your supernatural group." I honestly didn't know much about my family bloodline. The only family members I had met besides my parents were Grandma Nelina, Grandpa Norman, and Aunt Celeste. Dad explained to me that Grandma Nelina was a Witch and Grandpa Norman a Fae. I didn't know my grandparents from my mother's side but I wouldn't be surprised if there were other relatives that I just hadn't met especially considering my parents kept me secluded from my supernatu

The Battle of Bloodlines

The Battle of Bloodlines

Ella said and I actually felt sorry for her she was unnecessarily dragged into my bloodline drama and she don’t deserve any of it, she needs to be safe and not to deal with vampire and homicidal ancestor drama. “I am sorry Ella you have to go through all this, you don’t deserve to be dragged in my family drama and it was selfish of me to pull you into all of this, you don’t feel pressure just leave it all to me, I will figure things out instead you should go and visit your family in the neighborhood they would be really happy to see you”, I tried to put on my best face to convince Ella to leave me alone in that attic but she was not ready to listen to any of my reasons instead all she did wa

Codename: Blackheart

Codename: Blackheart

It’s my family’s legacy and I’m proud to be a part of it, it’s not exactly traditional but it works for us. I’m fifth generation assassin on my father’s side. It began with Great, Great Grandpa Grigore Istrati, or G4 as I jokingly refer to him. We’re told it began as him being hired by royals and other aristocrats to off blood relatives so they could move up the succession ladder. He was poor, and when he realised how much he could make and how good he was, he just kept going with it. When Great Grandpa Costin was born he wanted to take after his father, and then he passed it on to Grandpa Titus, then my dad Silas and now me.
