Leana dragged her towards the high point of the hill and when they got there Mary was speechless with what she saw in front of her.
Below the hill, a grassland stretched out for miles, all the way to the horizon. High, golden brown, grass swayed gently in the wind. Splitting the grassland, a big river flowed, along its sides Mary could see small, knotted, trees. In the middle of the grassland, cut in half by the river, she saw a city. Or at least she saw the city walls. They looked sandy yellow and looked polished and not like the ones around Dermes, that consisted of stone boulders that were visible.
