Aliyah's POV My stomach lurched as I fell, the sensation of gravity disappearing as it swallowed me whole. I tried to scream for Skylar, for Tyler, but the gag in my mouth turned my cry into a pathetic, muffled sob. The fall didn’t last as long as I expected. I hit something hard, not stone, but a thick layer of moss that smelled like old blood and stagnant water. The impact knocked the wind out of me.
