As they slowly reached deeper into the forest, they saw a gray stone wall three meters high, which enclosed a fairly large area just before the dense forest in the back. Maybe less than a meter before the gate, the forest path turned into a gravel driveway. The gate was huge and also three meters tall, all made of metal, in a slightly darker shade of gray than the wall around. The very modern looking surveillance camera was located where the wall was in contact with the metal frame of the gate. The camera has moved right away when their car drove on a gravel part of the road.

I never thought witchcraft to be such an open practice but still, I guess this is how it is in Wema Avenue Achara. We were called to the stage one by one, randomly picking a card from a black bag. The color of your card determined the class you would be in. There were 4 beautiful women on stage wearing dresses of the colors of the cards. I guess they are the teachers for each class. Getting to the bag, Priestess Camille was standing with the one image that has been hunting my mind, body and soul. He looked so handsome, almost like a god with his brown hair neatly pulled back and his lips stretched into a thin line. He looked so marvelous in his red long-sleeved t-shirt and black trousers.

In fact, as I looked up from the floor, I realized I couldn’t tell the color of anything. The entire hallway was painted in shades of grey, right down to the crown molding along the walls. Every five feet, in between doors that stood like rigid dominoes, were modern-looking wall sconces. Even the light they emitted was absent of color, casting rays of grey instead of warm yellows.

Aiden’s face warmed as he quickly averted his gaze, not wanting to intrude on such a private moment. The dim light only revealed pieces of the men, but Aiden didn’t mind what he saw—he’d never had a problem with the community or with people loving who they wanted. Still, he couldn’t help but notice a glimpse of the shirt one of them was wearing: a dark, olive-green hoodie with a distinct, unique white logo splashed across the back. It was an eye-catching design he’d only seen a few times around school, definitely something memorable. Not wanting to be caught staring, he grabbed a paper towel, wiped his hands hastily, and left the restroom, trying to ignore the memory of what he'd seen.

I look around the majestic corridors of the Gray's mansion to distract myself from my racing thoughts and heavy guilt, which proves to work like a charm as I'm soon mesmerized by its grandeur. The floor is covered in vintage tiles, the walls made of deep brown shiny wood, and the ceilings as high as a rich person's ego. The walls are covered in an array of beautiful and weird paintings probably worth more money than ill ever see or touch in this lifetime. Fascinated and mostly confused about why a painting of a monkey licking its privates would be expensive, I don't sense Fiona Gray's presence until her voice, mere inches from my ear, almost makes me jump out of my skin.

The air didn't just grow cold; it ceased to exist. Where the grey mist of Selene's "Grey Erase" touched the vibrant, sun-drenched silks of the Southern elite, the very concept of color was extinguished. The vibrant oranges and regal purples of the Council's finery didn't just fade—they were bleached into a chalky, monochromatic dust. The marble of the Border-Spire's plaza, once a pristine white that reflected the arrogance of the Sun-Drenched Alphas, groaned under a layer of necrotic frost that hummed with the sound of a thousand whispering graves.

“You should take this one. The quality is pretty good, and it’s easy to use.” “Okay.” A grin spreads over his face, then he asks, “What color do you want?” “Ah…what do I get to choose from?” “Lime, silver, violet, and graphite.” My eyebrows draw together. “What’s graphite?” Tiny lets out an amused chuckle. “It’s a dark grayish color.” “Uhm…” I nibble on my bottom lip while I think about which one I should choose, then say, “I’ll take the violet one.”

I swallow hard and close my eyes until the room steadies again. Where am I. The walls are concrete and bare. Old paint peeling in strips. There’s graffiti on one side, faded and layered, like people kept coming back here to leave pieces of themselves behind. Names. Symbols. Words I can’t fully read. Black Hollow. The name comes to me out of nowhere and my stomach drops.

Lily's POV As Aiden welcomed me into his second home, he led me through the expansive foyer adorned with striking art pieces and minimalist decor. The glass house really offered an open and airy atmosphere. Every single thing, from top to bottom, was either white, gray, or black! The sofas themselves were made of deep gray leather that shone like a thousand diamonds. The few walls that weren't made of glass were painted white at the top and a lighter gray at the bottom. The rest of the walls that were made of glass also shone so brightly that I could see my reflection in them.
