Most stories start with once upon a time, and when they do they usually have a happy ending, yes? Well maybe not all, my story doesn't have a start or an end, that's why it didn't begin with once upon a time You may be wondering what's with all this talking, I should get on with the story already But you are forgetting this is my story so I can pretty much do whatever I want, even if is to waste your time Okay fine, don't you dare leave, but sorry today is a whole different story

How do I even start this story? Where do I even begin? Should I start right before she died? Should I start right at the good part? Oh I know, I should’ve thought of this in the first place. I’ll start the day I met her (literally where every story should start.) Be warned before I begin telling the story, if you want a happy story this isn’t it, sure there’s romance and fun, but I can tell you she dies at the end so don’t get attached. Anyways, it begins in the middle of winter, the start of second semester when she first started school.

Her POV After two hours of eating, joking, story-telling, and paing the bill, Sir Dan stood up and bid us goodbye. "Elderly people needs to sleep early because we wake up early," he said and winked at us. "Provi you would know your way through the rural area at South Bay, right? "He asked his friend. "It's, ok.. If I get lost, there's Waze!" Mr. Dalton stood up as well but he waited for me to follow after Sir Dan.

He was just staring at the moon clearly in deep thought. She decided to lie down the mat to look at the stars. “Tell me a story” she requested then snuggled in Daniel’s arms. It’s getting chilly now and she finds Daniel’s warm body comforting. “Okay. I’ll tell you a story. You may or may not believe it” he started. “Why does your story always start with ‘you may or may not believe it’?” she noticed his funny way of telling a story. “Because it’s a good story nonetheless. It’s up to you to believe it” he gently smiled while tucking her hair behind her ear.

She just did. It was something she always did, she loved to make up stories about herself and make others believe it. Some moments ago when she was starting the port she had planned what she thought to be an excellent story. When she saw the boy, she already knew he would be her next victim. Nobody taught her to do it, nobody even lied to her before. But it was something in the families blood. She did lie quite well because the boy never doubted for a second that there was no gramps on board.

“Bread delivery. Routine. Safe. Predictable. That’s how it gets you.” Her fingers traced the edge of the diary. “And then boom, desire slips in through something as small as eye contact and a hand brush. No contracts. No dramatic rescues. No blindfolds.” She tilted her head slightly. “Just tension. Slow, building, inevitable tension.” A pause. “And honestly? That makes it more believable than most.” Chloe’s expression softened just a little. “Because this is how a lot of real stories start. Not with fireworks… but with repetition. Seeing the same person over and over until curiosity turns into anticipation… and anticipation turns into hunger.”

With that, I hung up and blocked his number without hesitation. Liam must have sensed the tension in the car because he smiled and tried to lighten the mood. “Miss Griffin, you came here to start a new life. Don’t let stuff like that ruin it. We’ll be at your apartment soon. You’re going to love it.” I turned my eyes to the sky. The clouds at the horizon were painted gold by the setting sun, and for the first time in years, I felt a weight lifting off my shoulders. I nodded lightly. “You’re right. I’m looking forward to my new beginning.”
