“We meet at last.” No effing way. It was her. Frighteningly perfect. Selene. The Moon Goddess. A glowing figure of white light shimmering over pale skin and straight silver hair. I stared wide-eyed in awe, my heart thundering. She wore a bare-shoulder, white chiton dress that clung and draped in all the right places, evoking a classic Grecian allure. The fluid fabric and gold belt at her waist gave it an otherworldly appeal. Walking in behind her was Artemis. The baby-mugging goddess in her golden aura, ochre flesh, attired in her yellow, one-shoulder, asymmetrical hunting dress. Her ever-present bow was slung over her shoulder, expression sombre and vigilant.

It was the first time that Francesca saw the demon act that way, and she bit her lip to keep herself from laughing. An awkward moment passed as everyone gaped at the new arrival. And even more so when Hecate was joined by someone who looked like a younger version of herself.
