Greek Goddess Of Books 소설 & 이야기

“We are joined tonight by avatars of the tri-mother, our own moon goddess! Flidais (pronounce FLIH dish) be praised that they have chosen to join us!” Howls erupted from the darkness in response and my hand clamped down on Kiara’s eliciting a small squeak of pain. Flidais? He invoked Flidais, goddess of the hunt? I supposed that was somewhat fitting, though she was often depicted as being at odds with Brigit and Morrigan. As for Cernunnos, well let's just say he was often seen hunting Flidais

Roger and Clarke said in unison. “News flash, I am not myself right now,” Miranda gestured, using her thumb to point at herself. Her body was a virgin, but the one she was stuck in was not. “Pure in this case doesn't mean a virgin status,” Lazarus scratched his head. “Why are you scratching your head? That makes me even more worried,” Nigel complained. “Well, the goddess Hecate wrote this book —” He hesitated. “Who's that?” Roger asked. “She's the goddess of witchcraft,” Miranda spoke up. “I read about her in the Vanderwolf's library. She is responsible for creating witchcraft. She is who the witches praise.”

James flicked his eyes back and forth between Eliza and Blakeney as the man paused dramatically. “Thetis,” said Blakeney, grandly. “She is a goddess of the sea. A lieutenant of sorts to Poseidon, but more commonly associated with calm and tranquil waters.” “That’s right,” he said, remembrance flooding to him. “Achilles was her most famous son.” Blakeney nodded proudly at his pupil. “Correct.”

“Didn’t you just win that reading badge last week?” That earned a small grin. “Yeah. For reading the longest book in the class.” Willow’s eyes lit. “That’s amazing! What book?” Andrea hesitated. “It was... a Greek mythology one. It's about Alcestis, the wife of Admetus.” The way she pronounced ‘Alcestis’ was so prideful. I could never pronounce that on a first trial.

I ask incredulously. “Enyo? That’s your wolf’s name?” She asks, and I respond with a nod. “The waster of cities… Interesting…” Luna Rachel trails off, a faraway look coming across her face. She then stands abruptly and heads over to the bookshelf in the office. “You know, in Greek mythology, Athena and Enyo were both daughters of Zeus. However, Enyo was a goddess of war and destruction, bringing fear to anyone against her on the battlefield. While Athena was a goddess of both wisdom and war, among other things. Almost like the opposite of what Enyo represented, and she was even feared by Enyo’s lover, Ares…” Luna Rachel trails off again as she flips through a book, looking for something.

I wrapped my free hand in the satin fabric of the dress, trying my best to control my anxiety as Alpha Kaia opened the book that lay before her on the altar. It was the Book of the Moon, the sacred writings that the Goddess had left for us. I had never seen it with my own eyes and, Holy Moon, just thinking that the Alpha herself was about to perform that ceremony made me tremble.

Meadow lay open across a stack of student files, a cascade of papers spilling over the round wooden table beside him. Mixed among the archaeology and excavation reports were far older volumes—fragile Sanskrit manuscripts and English translations recounting the hymns of the Rigveda, where Usha, the goddess of dawn, was praised in radiant verse. Other texts sang of Durga’s battles, describing the tiger-riding warrior who struck terror into demons and hope into mortals. Some lay open, pages creased as if mid-thought, while others rested in precarious towers awaiting his return.

She is known to the elven community as GoldMoon. Previous generations of humans understood that supernatural beings existed, and they made up their stories of gods and goddesses to explain them. The Greeks felt that the Ceryneian Hind was sacred to Artemis, the goddess of the hunt. However, it was really the elves that treated GoldMoon like she was sacred. She has lived with us for many generations.
