The moon was full and burning above them when he stopped, lifting his muzzle to howl. The sound split the air, and the pack followed in a chorus of howls that spread through the mountain. But from the crowd came discontent. The elder of the Sixth Borderlands stepped forward, his wolf form heavy with age but sharp. “The Alpha did not speak of my crawlers who died in LA. They were protecting his said son!”

Gregor I made my way back to the valley cautiously. I couldn't ever become complacent and let anyone find the tower. Too much was at stake and secrecy was vital. As I approached, I could hear the wolves. They were talking. I stopped and just listens to them for a while. My heart swelled with pride and relief. They were doing what they had been designed to do. I recognized Alfus's voice. My guess was he was very near the tower, and he was organizing and executing a parameter sweep.

Surrounding me, the blanketed ground stirred with squirming bodies and splashes of blood. Somewhere off to the side, I spotted Gregor grappling with three tremendous wolves on the double. A fourth was creeping up behind him. "Gregor, watch out!" I woofed. Yet, my admonition came past the point of no return. The wolf's teeth sank profound into Gregor's rear leg. The alpha let out a tormented howl and staggered.

I know my capabilities and yet, someone died. I gently let go of Quinn’s body and let my body shiver. With my hands now covering my face, I let out a silent cry for a friend who never left my side until the end. “Did you see the one who did this?” I asked Rendall as I am looking around the forest. “I saw it ran,” Rendall slowly replied. “Where?” “Domlur.” I move my gaze to the path going to Domlur. I suddenly felt the urge to slash everything on my way, my eyes never felt clearer and my hatred for these werewolves becomes greater.

She leaned back on the backrest and sighed at the view of the teardrop-silver colour lake; shaped like a perfectly flat metal disc. No sounds rang out from the shimmering emptiness of space in front of them. Even the huffing wind was too lazy to scatter the a-flame quilt of warm earthy leaves spread out around the tree's base in the small clearing. They sat in silence, drinking in the scenery, calming their senses and enjoying each other's company. "Have you ever heard of the Moonfall pack?" Minnow asked after much consideration. "Hm, yeah, it's a small town up in the mountains. Why do you ask?"

Though it had been a while already, the howls and roars of the alpha king, Derek was still not out of their ears. It was now a matter of concern.
