Grocery Gang Novels & Stories

"And they look aesthetically pleasing in your crisp crisper drawer." It was pure, glorious domestic chaos. The grocery staff and fellow shoppers watched the two of them with amused, knowing smiles, clearly mistaking them for a newlywed couple bickering over grocery budgets. Jane was aggressively inspecting nutrition labels, while William kept sneaking fancy imported potato chips, branded almond milk, and three different varieties of organic berries into the cart whenever she turned her back. By the time they reached the checkout lane, the cart was overflowing to a ridiculous degree. "I am paying for my groceries," Jane asserted, pulling out her debit card as the cashier began scanning the mo

Getting into my car, I start it up and head for the deli. The deli is what we call the warehouse that Larson Butchers own, Jagger trying to be funny called it a deli with all the meats they had in here. The Larson brothers get paid handsomely for my use of their warehouse, it also keeps them out of trouble with gangs and shit. They know that the brothers work for me and in turn everyone keeps away from them. It’s a win-win for us all.

It was the weekend and that's when people like going shopping, maybe that was the reason I met such a crowd at the grocery. I was not there to look around for or to monitor the number of people who came for shopping, Christ's sake! I was there to pick up my things. I must find a basket and then go around the grocery picking all the items I needed. Unluckily for me, there were only a few baskets when I look at the place where they hung at the grocery. Finally, I saw it when I tried to move around but, just when I was going to pick it up, a man kicked it out of my hands with his long and heavy boots. Still, in my bending position, I was yet to look up and see who had caused such mayhem.

“Let’s just do an informal thing. Easier to get to know everyone. I can make food for everybody but we have to go to the market. Is that possible?” “I would rather you don’t go to the market but we can send one of the assistants or do a grocery delivery.” “Oh yeah, I totally forgot about that. Perks of living in the city.” Sonya smiled. “How many people do you think?” “Let’s just keep it to my Beta, Gamma, and their mates so 6 total including us.” “Okay I can do that. How do I place a grocery order then?” Jake opened an app on his phone and told her to order whatever she wanted.

Although, I did so in stuttered speech that I suspected wouldn’t even be laudable to her hearing, she still managed to grasp what I told of. “Well, they must’ve been some low ranking members of a back-water gang.” “They are actually the most revered in the city. Their gang are into everything from arms, contraband, if you can think of it, they can provide it in bulk.” “What are we going to do? They’re surely going to some for us.” She panicked, but that much was to be expected. I tried to reassure her with the reveal of my gang’s name never appearing anywhere, meaning it was an aimless fight had bosses raising guns based who pointed the fastest finger.

One of the men explained. Mr. Garcia observed the two they were both wearing plan black shirts and pants. Both were average height but you can see a familiar Snake tattoo with 3 swords sticking out of there left forearm. Before Mr. Garcia was a baker he led a very colorful life. He was a delinquent before he turned a new leaf when he met his wife. That tattoo was familiar belonging to a large underground gang famous for trafficking anything under the sun. "I am sorry gentlemen but I haven't seen any children coming into my shop with those description" He smiled at them "Why don't you leave some contact details and I would call you if i see anything"

Only the cashiers and the helpers who organise the merchandise are present inside the grocery store. A sly seller waiting outside interrupted them quickly and gave them the fruits and vegetables from their farm. However, in an effort to catch their attention, they are yelling at the group furiously and violently while also making a mess on the floor by scattering their possessions. “Hey folks, we have the top stuff for you today. You have to buy everything now, there won't be any tomorrow. We must get back home before dusk since screaming' wild animals prowl the area at night. By taking all of our belongings, you can assist us.”

They instantly looked at her. “What is it?” Solomon exchanged a look with Ralph. “Who is the gang’s tracker?” They hesitated as Vale shifted from foot to foot. “Will we get in trouble?” Ralph’s rubbed his neck looking worried and unsure. “No, no, of course not! I promise.” she tried reassuring them. “Well, I think it was a guy called Jay, and his partner is Kenzie,” Ralph said. “Do you have their number? I’d like to meet them,” she asked.
