Chapter Two [ Mutual understanding and love]

Nancy's radiant face and dazzling, shining eyes show how glad she is, despite the fact that she has been blushing for no reason at all since he welcomed her. Before she completely left him, she forced herself to do so even though she didn't want to.

“I'm Nancy Coronel, a law student at Manila University who is currently on vacation in Hacienda Buena Gracias. Goodbye!” He plunges his body into the deep water, and she is eager to introduce herself to him.

“I too feel the same,” he replies while closing his eyes as he dips them once more into the gushing fresh water.

He approached her to inspect his wet garments there as she returned to sit down on a large, long stone to watch him and expose herself to the sun.

“Oh, I'm sorry for taking up your former spot for sunbathing. I hope we can share it next time.” He says with a smile as his heart leaps with excitement

"How did you know that I was sunbathing here for an hour?” Nancy simply asks because she's never met him in that remote location.

“I was on top of the highest tree in the forest trying to find out what's new in this area when I saw you from a distance having blissfully rested her,” he laughs adding, "that's a ridiculous subject," as he discreetly eyed her to gauge her reactions to him.

After seeing Jason, who she had previously seen on her F******k account a week earlier, Nancy left him alone with some thoughts on her mind but she was unsure of what to say or think.

The next two days before she returns to Manila, she is perfectly suited to putting herself up as a tough guy once more because she has chosen to keep using her soul-winning strategy with the disgruntled workers who have gone rebellious. Before she returned to the city to pursue her legal studies, she devised a comprehensive plan to resolve the disputes.

"Even though the rebels are already hiding, I shouldn't pause to look around. They'll probably come back while I'm not here, and my parents, the employees, the farmers, and all of their properties will be in jeopardy,” Nancy keeps thinking.

“Before turning over control of the hacienda to the officer in charge, I must gather all of the information and motives that cause others to be jealous and damage innocent people. “She continues to ponder until she comes to her final decision.

Nancy is prepared to discuss the complex issues behind the uprising of the workers who later became the mountain people. She is wearing her dark eyeglasses, a pair of men's white shirts with long sleeves and brown men's wear print, as well as her brothers' favorite leather jacket once again that early morning in the hacienda residence house.

She approaches her devoted parents, who are still in bed.

"Mama, Papa, may I enter?" she said while grinning and attempting to use one of her 24-karat gold rings to rap on the locked door.

She kept her ears perched near the door to hear if her parents were making any movements to unlock it. She repeated the requests while giving them a male tone.

“This time, I am confident that they will recognize me because they are not accustomed to my feminine voice's pleasant, calm, and lulling tones. “She says grinning excitedly.

Nancy has been waiting for her parents for an hour outside the door but hasn't noticed them getting out of bed. Thinking they would like to prolong their time in bed, Nancy initially chose to visit her black horse in his stall.

“Maybe Mr. Peng isn't here today. I can't seem to find anyone.”

She mutters as she opens the hinge slowly and smiles upon seeing her favorite horse. She gently feels the hairy body of Stallone, the name of her black horse.

"I'm going to leave you right now, my dear friend. I will miss you so much because I adore you. You have been very nice to me as you always cooperate and follow my orders when we come across clashes with our farmers in the war region."

She cries out as tears begin to stream down her face. She quickly takes off her dark spectacles and grabs a handkerchief from inside her leather jacket's pocket to wipe the tears from her eyes.

She examines her runny nose for indications of a cold while coughing at the same time.

"I may get a cold or cough now, Stallone. I have to return to the University to finish my legal degree. You wait for my return, huh? But first, I'm going to sneak up a mountain and head towards the vast farm in order to carefully investigate the source of this social discontent before heading straight to the university, where I might never see you again.”

Nancy speaks calmly while putting her head against Stallone’s gorgeous, powerful, and vivacious physique and wrapping her arms around his round, muscular neck.

She turned right away, leaving her mutual buddy to stomp his feet on the ground and gesture for her to let him go so they could go around the Hacienda together first and enjoy their last few seconds.

All of a sudden there was a hinting and stamping on the stacks of wood that were to be the hinges on the gate.

Nancy giggles and turns around, saying,

“That is to say, we have feelings for one another. You asked me to stay with you during your last moments, right?”

as her eyes smilingly gaze at him adding,

“I know what we talk about seems strange, Stallone, but I really like your company. Okay. wait a minute, dear friend. I will just see who’s that guy behind the entrance gate," she replied after kissing him on the head.

“Hello! Can I come in?” Nancy feels her heart jump and begins to beat faster when she sees Jason visiting her. Jason smiles as he approaches her.

“What a visit in the early morning, Jason?” She remarked, her eyes spark veiled from her dark spectacles. His smile looks uncontrollable.

Jason remembers Nancy laughing loudly in a male voice, and he abruptly lost all memory of her as the alluring young woman in the river, "At first sight, I didn't recognize you, but we had previously worked together to defeat opponents in the war zone, do you remember?" He says adding instantly,

“Where is Nancy, your identically attractive twin sister?” Jason is casting a glance in the direction from which she is emerging.

"Oh, Nancy, my twin sister?” Nancy mentions as she is a little taken aback by what he unexpectedly says and demands of her, but she immediately grasps the concept of her dual personality in front of his eyes.

So, she continues, she is currently in difficulty and looking for a good excuse because she is going through an identity crisis before finding her first love.” She says grinning.

Despite the fact that she cannot escape reality or ignore it, she chose to continue the games that Jason had started.

As she chuckled nervously, unsure of how to handle the surprising realism of her pretenses, lies, and personification,

"Okay Jason, we make a terrific team, however, my twin sister has already departed and is returning to Manila to finish her legal studies. We are twins, although I move a little more slowly than she does. I should take care of my parents first, but you are welcome to come in for a brief talk. She just departed an hour ago.” Nancy added her calculated, gutsy emotional scuffles.

"How are you the twin sister of Nancy? Jason is attempting to explain the problems with identical twins.

"Aha, it would be preferable to use my name after my twin sister because we are practically identical. However, my name has a nickname attached that has made us different. They call me "Tough Guy" Nancy has been coming up with new tales about her dual identities. How can she escape the circumstances?

They are conversing as they slowly make their way toward Stallone. She introduces him to Jason as a mutual friend who insisted on being shown around before she left him alone with his other half-horse next door.

” Really!” When Mr. Peng appears, Jason offers to be his friend and says,

 "I can take care of him while you and your twin sister are in Manila. That's a great horse. I like to be his friend too.”

 Before their sight, Stallone immediately grabs the grasses which Mr. Peng brings and slowly masticated them.

"Okay, my friend, you should eat well. You will be in excellent hands with Mr. Peng and Jason. By the way, Mr.Peng meet Jason Stevens Chang, a friend, and my combat partner from China. He is currently on vacation in this country, and I would like to recommend him to our family as a companion and friend. Kindly allow him to pay you a visit or stay with you while traveling with my family.” She expresses concern for Jason as her strong partner before Mr. Peng.

Although Nancy's father is elderly and in terrible health, he is able to face her in the receiving area next to the terrace to catch some sunlight after an hour when the guard dogs' barking and chatting woke them up.

Nancy kisses her parents as they approach her with their walking stick, saying,

"Good morning, Mama, and Papa. I have been waiting for you to get up because I have important stuff to tell you."

Suddenly, “What’s wrong, Papa?” She screams in terror as she grabs hold of her weak father and helps him settle into his favorite rocking rocker slowly and comfortably. Her father is in bad shape as he struggles to breathe.

Jason observed that she had a kind and responsible attitude toward her elderly and ill parents. He also moved a little closer to see if her father needed to see a doctor before they left. He feels his heartbeat and catches himself shivering.

 “Perhaps you should take your meals, Papa and Mama. You're always running behind schedule, and you need maintenance. I'll call our family's doctor right away,”

Nancy says as she calls the kitchen service crews to bring the food for her parents and more for Mr. Peng and Jason. She can then join them for a family bonding activity before she leaves.

But suddenly, her father's frail body is unable to support him any longer.

” Papa! "Nancy is so quick to reach out and grab him before he dropped off his rocking rocker.

Nancy's father whispers,

 "I cannot stay longer. I must return to my bed, my child," in a faint, shaking voice that no one can really hear.

While Jason and Mr. Peng are taking care of him and carefully, slowly transferring him to his bed, Nancy, a tough guy, is unable to contain her tears as she slowly outbursts from the sorrow of losing her father. She is so quick to call the doctor on her smartphone.

After five minutes,” Mama, are you okay?” Nancy turns to her mother who seems very quiet sitting next to his father

"He has been complaining about his pain for a few days already, my dear. I was just ignoring it because I thought that he was just making a drama to get your attention,"

Nancy, who already feels bad for being away from her parents to settle the Haciendas' disputes, hears the mother recount the event in a hushed voice as tears fall from her eyes.

 Nancy begged her parents with tears flowing down her cheek, "Oh, I'm truly sorry, Mama, Papa. Please forgive me for my negligence and irresponsibility as your daughter."

They were in the process of resolving something when a man jolted in.

"My patient, how are you doing?"

The doctor immediately checks the patient's pulse and notes every aspect of his findings before expressing his sadness, he adds as he steps out of the doorway.

The doctor whispers to Nancy,

He has been exhibiting symptoms of an undiagnosed ailment that required extra testing, so he must be maintained in the sophisticated medical facility.”

Then Nancy begs Mr. Peng to retrieve the family car so they can take her mother, who appears to also require medical attention and her father to the nearest hospital.

Nancy, the Tough Guy couldn't help but show off her radiant, sparkling eyes on the way to the hospital after learning of Jason's emotional and physical support for her family. This was in spite of her challenges and health issues. She also recalled his remarks about the identical twin he encountered in the streams.

Before others get involved in the tragedy, Nancy adds,

 "Thank you so much friend for sticking with us over the days of my troubles. I appreciate your presence with us.”

“It doesn't matter. I'm glad to have been there to assist you when you needed me.” Jason said, replying with warmth and a joke.

They all laugh at him as he says, "I am now your mutual friend like Stallone.”

“You are not a horse.” Nancy immediately reacted Jason teases her more,

 Jason chuckles as he adds to Nancy, who is still in anguish but a little relieved by Jason's presence. "I am like a horse who can obey you at first order.”

“I also need to check the situation in the hacienda. I can't go to pursue my studies in the terrible condition of my parents. Come on Jason. Let's go for a meal first while waiting for my parents' diagnostic results. We should be strong for them.”

 Nancy says as she signals Mr. Peng to stay put and wait for the doctor's order in the case, he needs her.

As they communicated through body language, Mr. Peng only waited for her eyes to meet his.

"Thank you, Mr. Peng. I will deliver your dinner with service staff soon."

Nancy suffered unexpectedly, but she is still praying for her parents' quick recovery so they may all return to their normal lives at home
