I explain, and his gold eyes grow dark before he steps closer to the yellow electrical pulse. "Mangogs have terrible eyesight. They use vibrations to locate targets. It works wonders on their sand-covered planet. But on ground like this, they are at a disadvantage. I was never in any danger, Krystal. I...I...need you to trust that I will protect you. Don't do anything like that again," Burk whispers so low that I have difficulty hearing. I blush and nod like an obedient child. "I'm sorry. I've never seen anything like these creatures, and I was worried," I whisper back before licking my dry lips.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!

THE DOOR

crested the edge of the sky-swamp. It was a standard grunt—eight feet tall, hyper-muscular, with sickly grey skin and glowing purple eyes. It hauled itself over the bark, its jaw slavering as it caught the scent of her fresh blood. It let out a guttural roar, signaling the others, and charged into the knee-deep muck of the suspended bog. Mwajuma didn't run. She stood up, rolling her newly set shoulder, the geometric amber tattoos on her dark skin flaring to life with a steady, pulsing rhythm.

Alpha’s regret : The return of his rejected mate

Then he took a bite. CRUNCH. A look of intense relief washed over his gray face. The humming noise coming from his throat stopped. "What is that?" Silas asked, fascinated. "Grounding root," Martha said. "It's full of heavy metals and earth magic. It makes them heavy. Harder for the ghost to lift their spirits away." She looked at Leo. "You could use a bite yourself, Sun Bringer. You look like you're about to float through the ceiling." "I'm fine," Leo lied. He was gripping the edge of the table to keep himself anchored. "So,

frequency tried to rewrite his mind. "Ren, get down!" Maya screamed as a bolt of energy struck his shoulder. "I’ve got it!" Ren gasped, his hand reaching for the crystalline core. "Leo... the feedback... it needs a 'Ground'!" Leo realized what his brother meant. To stop the extraction, someone had to absorb the massive surge of energy that would be released when the capacitors were cut. "I’m the Anchor!" Leo yelled. He ran to the base of the pillar and grabbed the primary grounding cables. "Maya, Kaelen; Link! Now!"

Apaurushya

A horde of 'Purple-Mantis' lived inside the purple-bushes, and they were comparatively easy prey. After searching for a while, he witnessed a Mantis chewing grass carelessly. "I found my first prey, and it's alone… lucky me." "Their eyes can extract a gel that clears poison and can be a disinfectant if used with dilution," Creed pulled out his dagger." The eyes will sell for a lot. I just need to get a little close." "Yeah, little guy, just keep chewing that grass," He inched closer as he licked his lips. "Don't look here, and it will be a swift death. I promise!".

THE LUNA HE THREW AWAY

THE LUNA HE THREW AWAY

I said. "I've been watching," he said. "That's the function." He hung up. I sat with the phone in my hand and the May night outside and the covenant humming and the Ground underneath it, vast and stable, pressing gently against the network's southern edge like a tide that has been rising for four hundred years and has finally found the level where someone can feel it. Not a threat. Sera had said so. Fen had confirmed it. The Ground was not hostile. It was enormous and old and it was what everything was built on and it needed the intermediary layer to maintain the separation between its scale and the pack territories' capacity to survive contact with it.

Blood on the Asphalt biker

Dax asked. "I don't need to," I said, my fingers flying over the keyboard as the sheer, insane logic of the plan took hold. "The pods already have localized gravity-thrusters to push through the bedrock. If I invert the thruster polarity, it won't push dirt it will push water. We can steer it." Dax grinned, crossing his arms. "Then we have our boat." THE LOWER DOCKS It took the combined brute strength of Tank, Jax, and fifty Revers bikers operating heavy, scavenged hydraulic winches to rip the primary Mantle-Pod out of the nearest dormant drill.

Run to Ground

Run to Ground

“Which makes it ideal for our purposes.” Jim suddenly felt a familiar rumbling. It was coming from the soft clay walls now, not the ground. It was faint and distant but gathering momentum, getting closer all the time. They were coming from three directions, possessing the earth around them, twisting it into whatever sickening form they took, then moving on. Leaving the soil spent and violated, even at this depth. Jim was unbelievably far beneath the ground, but he still wasn’t safe.

The Ominous: Some play it safe, heroes don't

The Mantis turned intangible again as the arrows sored through its now ghostly frame, exploding on contacted with the ceiling. “Maddie , any luck?,” Lisa ask , watching me electricity the pod. “Almost there,” I replied fighting the sweat from my forehead. Focusing on the small cracks gradually forming on the pod’s surface. The mantis began to glitch with black electricity as if it was directly receiving my attack. “We gotta keep that thing intargable til Maddie breaks that pod,’ Eric said “Lisa give Natalie a hand,” “Got it,” Lisa answered as she ignited her arms and them rampaging flurry of pink fire.
