Only one thing would give her some peace in that house. She rolled around and took out a book from underneath her pillow. It was her favorite book, ‘The Adventures of the Mermaid’. Her dad had gifted her this book last year and since then, Alina became obsessed with the lore of mermaids. The book followed the story of a mermaid who was travelling all the seas in search of her pearl. On the way, she made many friends and even defeated monsters to achieve her goal. The mermaid in the book was named Alya and she became Alina’s heroine.

Then a girl with blond hair and brown eyes and a boy with brown hair and blue eyes before she points at a guy with jet black hair and forest green eyes. When I lock eyes with the last one I can't look away. I feel like drowning in those emerald eyes and I bet his hair is really smooth to run your fingers through. "Mate..." Says the boy called Sebastian and that wakes me from my trance. Oh boy. Mer-people don't have mates but there is like a one in a million chance that a mermaid is mated to a werewolf. Guess I'm that one. What do I do now?

He picks Amelia up telling me he wanted to show her a cool fish tank, while I flip through the book, once I find the answer I turn to look at Blake. "After some months of research I have an answer to your question, no mice should not drink milk" i smile, he shakes his head wrapping his arms around me looking at my face. "I'm so happy you're back, it's been horrible without you, I love you" he smiles down at me, I plant a kiss on his lips telling him I loved him so much too. Amelia saying mama over and over again snaps me out of our little moment, ink walks over handing her back to me. Then I remembered.

"I'm Dr. Emma Rockford and it's a pleasure to meet you. Are you a mermaid or ocean nymph? The female batted her large eyes and sighed. "I'm part of a tribe of merpeople and closely related to ocean nymphs but can occupy freshwater sources as well as salt, I am called Layla," she said softly and I nodded. I glanced over at the other cell and felt the heat. A large dark muscular beast was pacing the perimeter of the enclosure. It's two bulky heads huffing angrily.

"We need them gone." She nods in understanding. "Gails and Devon are coming with Travis and this," She pauses and flashes me a devilish smile, "is Radiance." Damn, she noticed the way I looked at her. Radiance is beautiful. Absolutely beautiful. Her hair is long and flowing; a fierce color of orange/red. Her tail matches her hair perfectly. A bright orange tail with the tips of her fins are a beautiful ruby red. She has big, round, emerald green eyes surrounded by thick eye lashes. She shyly smiles a small smile to me and then darts her eyes down. Clearly humbled to be in my presence. "Thank you for assisting us today Radiance. I apologize for it being so early in the morning." Suzaine and Almirah, on the other corner of this celestial realm, held hands to make a combination spell.
