Hades And Persephone Novels & Stories

After I die, I save Hades' pet. To thank me, he plans to bring me back to life. However, I refuse with a smile. He is stunned for a moment, then asks in confusion, "So many people want to live, so why do you refuse instead?" I give him a bitter smile. "Maybe it's because being alive is a fate worse than death." He doesn't believe it, and his tone turns unfriendly. "Don't think I don't know that your parents are famously known for loving their daughter. They even make the news because of how much they love you." I crouch there without speaking. It's indeed true that they've made the news for loving their daughter, but that is all an act. The truth is, the only one they've ever really lo

Lukas leaned in and breathed in my ear, "They are Hades and his mate, Persephone." I felt my breath hitch. Even though I guessed it but knowing it was true made it feel real. Hades was clad in all-white suit with a rose on his lapel. I was expecting him to have a long white beard, but he looked youthful with his brunette hair slicked back and clean-shaven face. Persephone, on the other hand, was breathtaking with her white lace gown and her long blonde hair parted in one side. "Ahh, Lukas!" Hades cried out, wrapping his arms around Lukas and tugging him closer.

It laid across the land in smooth curves, beautiful in the light, calm and innocuous. Standing by me as I stood marveling the enormous river, Will said. "That's river Acheron, the river of sorrows." After taking my fill of magical view I sat down on the marble slab alongside Will. "Welcome to your first class on Greek Gods." He fixed his invisible glasses over his nose. "Good morning teacher." "Persephone is the goddess of spring and vegetation which she inherited from her mother, Demeter, the goddess of agriculture." "The events which lead to the feud between her and Hades happened centuries ago. She isn't part of the twelve main gods, and she felt that she wasn't receiving enough praise an

"One day, when Persephone the young goddess was gathering flowers by the stream, Hades the brother of Zeus and god of the underworld abducts her. Zeus and Demeter kept asking for her. Reluctant to release her, he forces Persephone to eat a pomegranate seed, the food of the dead" the other female voice continued. "We always believe she would come back but we didn't know who she would come back as. We only knew she was going to come back as someone we least expect" my said guardian continued. "And is that where my powers come from?" I asked

I bowed my head as I stood, helping Ismene-Eirene up. “You are welcome. And don’t fret. I am Hades, so I rarely leave the Underworld for anything but business. So, unless there will be souls to collect, we’ll be here ruling our domain and doting on our daughter.” Anicetus nodded. Persephone called for a servant to lead us to our rooms. “Have a good night,” Persephone said, gently lifting Chara from her bassinet. “Good night Lord Hades, Lady Persephone, and Lady Chara. Thank you for your hospitality.” Ismene-Eirene bowed her head.

As if be wanted to say those words that I've been waiting to hear all these while. “Should I tell you something?" Je asked and I nodded my head slowly. “The queen of the underworld is called Persephone. And even better than that, her mate is Hade’s, the King of the underworld.” His face hovered above my own as he pushed a stray strand behind my eyes. "Maybe the witch didn't need the good king. Maybe she needed her very own Hades to help complete her,” As he spoke he brought his face closer to my own, his lips barely an inch away from mine.

If only it was too easy to concentrate on her work and stop remembering things. Finally the son of a god had found out that he also needed a goddess to feel himself completed. The Son of Hades was finally a God. He had found his queen, his master mind, his last piece, his soul mate, and his goddess. And he was going to put her under his rules, of course, not before she put him under hers.

"Do not touch me." The hall quieted. He laughed. "Still pretending? Who else would you choose? Cassian Hadeion? The last scrap of Hades, hidden in the shadow wing because even Olympus cannot decide whether to pity him or fear him?" Several guests laughed with him. "He cannot stand in the sun without looking half-dead," Apollo went on. "His underworld wings were shattered in the chariot fall that killed his parents. Some say he will never fly again. Some say the darkness broke more than that. Is that the husband you want, Persephone?"

A woman leaned close to them, smiling softly as she smoothed my son’s hair. The boy was Eren, the child I had nearly given up half my life force to bring into the world. The woman was not me. I was Persephone, goddess of spring, queen of the Underworld, and Hades’s wife under every sacred law. Not long after, Nympha posted her own update on the social feed. In the illustration, my mother’s pomegranate brooch lay beside a small charm of laurel and asphodel, clumsily woven by a child’s hands. Beneath it, she wrote:

I hit the floor. It felt like an invisible hand was crushing my chest. I couldn't breathe. "Because of your own stupidity and cruelty!" Hecate’s voice sliced through my denial. "You let your feelings blind you. You forced most of your divine protection onto Adonis. You even ordered dark magic to strip Aiden of his manhood and his very power!" "No... I did it to..." "Shut up!" Hecate snapped. "Your dark magic destroyed his life force. It snuffed out his destiny! You personally cut off his fated gifts and pushed him into a dead end!"
