His expression remained unreadable, though something flickered in his gaze, something Penelope couldn’t place. “Persephone,” he greeted coolly, his deep voice resonating in the cavernous room like a distant thunderclap. Demeter stepped forward, her smile a serene mask as she inclined her head. “Hades, may I present my daughter, Persephone.” Hades’ eyes briefly moved to Demeter, his gaze sharp and calculating. Then, they returned to Penelope, lingering with unnerving focus. For a moment, his expression didn’t shift, but behind that calm mask, his mind churned. This is not Persephone. As the god of death, he had an innate ability to see souls, and the one before him wasn’t Persephone’s. It was

The air became thick, unbreathable grim, making her uneasy. Hades wears an over-the-knee long one-shoulder black tunic with leather sandals. His straight black hair shines under Persephone quarter's fake sun, and his step wilts the grass that ignites soon after. He undresses, displaying his bare muscled body and hanging accessories without a single drop of shame before dipping in the hot spring. His corporal temperature brings the water to a boil as he relaxes, spreading his arms along the rocky edge. A slight tap has Persephone drop her dress and join him, sitting on his lap.

The next day I wake up, and after I put on my school uniform, I go to my first class, history class. "As you know, we have 4 vassal states: the Elves, the fairies, the merfolk, and the vampires. The elves were created by Persephone, as you know, Persephone is the goddess of spring, but she is also the wife of Hades, which makes her the Queen of the Underworld. She actually made two races of elves

“There is no way that you could—” Thanatos sighed. “Yes, I am. Even though we have moved on from our previous lives, the memories we have of those lives are as fresh as if they were just yesterday, Hades. The Tribunal was far too severe to let us repay by continuing to hold onto those memories right up until the present day.” Hades chuckled at the most stupid assumption. “But there is no way that she could be her.” he even said. “I am not drawing any conclusions, Hades. The way you were when you first saw Persephone was identical to the way you were when you first saw her. It was also the same gesture you made when you stripped her of her innocence. So could it be that you and Rebecca–”

, I don’t know if I can make it.” Conner held my hand that was on his face and kissed my palm. “I now know how I have wronged you because of my selfishness. I was too clouded by my jealousy that I didn’t dare to confront you. I even resented you for believing what I thought I saw.” He looked down and caressed my hand inside his. “When my uncle Jack said that I must marry soon I loathed it, but then he gave me this folder which contained the woman who I am supposed to marry and knew that it was you I didn’t hesitate to say yes.” He looked at me with utmost sincerity “The moment you walked down the aisle I know that I wanted this even with that stupid contract. It didn’t matter if it was the o

You would think that it would give me some brownie points. Alas, it didn’t.” I came up to battle him as soon as he finished his sentence. I don’t care that he loaned his invisibility helmet. I care about my mate and queen. I swirl my sword as a way to distract him. His eyes lit up in humor.

aren't you afraid? — Not with you by my side, you idiot. — I approach your lips. — Persephone didn't want Hades, but he insisted... one day she fell in love with him, then she understood that there was no point in going if a piece of her would stay with him.
