Moon Kissed Mates

Moon Kissed Mates

Ella’s POV As soft white transparent mist rose from the sparkling clear water, and the beautiful morning melody was being sung by the native birds, I sat on the large boulder that overlooked the majestic pond. The crisp autumn air filled my lungs, as a slight chill ran down my body till it reached the tips of my toes. I shivered as I pulled my leather jacket tighter around me trying to stop the cool breeze from penetrating through to my skin that was exposed to the elements. I found myself taking in the beautiful array of colors of the leaves that autumn had graciously provided.

The Rose Withered in the Seventh Autumn

The Rose Withered in the Seventh Autumn

I'd been in a secret relationship with Nathan for six years. He said we couldn't go public because of his career. So we always split the bill, and anniversary gifts never cost more than fifteen dollars. The night before our anniversary, I asked him for the sixth time when he'd come home with me to meet my family. He turned me down again. "Ivy, I just think things are moving a little fast. Marriage is a lifetime commitment, after all." So I went home alone, carrying the expensive cheese and wine he'd bought for my mom. I pushed open the door and found the living room trashed. My stepsister Chloe stood there with a smug grin on her face. "Mrs. Mercer, you owe my family a million dollars. You'v

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

Fated (Book #11 in the Vampire Journals)

Sage flew with Scarlet into the breaking dawn, high over the Hudson, the world spread out before them in shades of purples and pinks, and even though he knew he was dying, Sage felt that everything was perfect in the world. He loved the feel of Scarlet on his back, her arms wrapped around his chest as they flew. He loved that the two of them could enjoy the breaking dawn together, looking down at the river, the trees, and the rolling hills, the entire world alight with fall. The leaves shone a thousand different colors, reds and oranges and yellows, twirling in the wind, falling to the Hudson, lining the waters as they floated down the current, making the river seem alive with a rainbow.

Captured By The Powerful Mr. Moore: His Forbidden Claim

Captured By The Powerful Mr. Moore: His Forbidden Claim

Aurora sat by the window, swathed in a thick shawl, her gaze lingering on the soft melancholy of autumn. Leaves danced on the breeze, golden and rusted, brushing across the ground like whispers. The air was crisp, and the late morning light streamed through the glass, soaking her pale skin in a fragile warmth. Her breakfast lay untouched on the tray beside her. She hadn’t had the appetite—not since last night. Her body still felt drained from the fever, her thoughts just as heavy.

Alpha Brocks Mate

Alpha Brocks Mate

Yadiel’s perspective: Looking out my window, I am greeted by a vibrant scene of autumn splendor. The leaves, in their various shades of red, orange, and yellow, dance gracefully in the gentle breeze. They rustle and sway, creating a mesmerizing display of colors against the backdrop of the clear blue sky. The branches of the trees, once lush with green foliage, now showcase a mosaic of hues, painting a picture of nature's transition.

The Falling Leaves In Autumn

The Falling Leaves In Autumn

Half a month later, on a quiet afternoon, I had already settled in a small town by the seaside. I had sold my wedding ring for a substantial amount of money. I filled my days with good food and beautiful scenery. A dull ache would occasionally surface in my body. I had no idea how much time I had left. Hence, I treated each day as if it were my last. I laid back on a beach chair and listened to the steady rhythm of the waves. Over the past 27 years of life, I had never felt this free or at ease.

Tears gently fell from his eyes as he read Grace’s favourite poem. “The sunny days are fewer; The morning dew dances on the grass, A little fog to let through gently the rays. A slower awakening of nature, A bit more chilly, so put on that jacket, Autumn is here. The remains of warmer days, Are still to be found in nature, And what a beauty! Stand still for a moment, Smell the flowers.”

This is a really nice book, surprisingly good for this platform. Needs a lot of proofreading ,(please, vocative comas are your friends! Use them!), but overall it's a good story. Well developed characters, interesting plot and a HEA ending, of course. Congrats to the author!

In the Grip of king Roderick

In the Grip of king Roderick

The fragrant aroma of cinnamon and apples mingled with the earthy scent of fallen leaves, creating a sensory symphony that enveloped them. Cynthia nestled her head on Roderick's shoulder, and he wrapped his arm around her, pulling her close. Their cheeks were rosy from the cool air, and they relished the comfort of each other's presence. "You know," Roderick said with a contented sigh, "there's something truly magical about autumn." Cynthia nodded, her eyes fixed on a pair of squirrels playfully chasing each other among the fallen leaves. "It's a season of change, of letting go and finding beauty in impermanence."

Elaine of Artharia

Elaine of Artharia

The rain painted the sidewalk like teardrops from the eyes of heaven. Small feet pounded the pavement, a river dance, a smooth unspoken rhythm mixing in time with the downpour. The green of summer was hinged by the kiss of autumn, leaves melting from emerald to ember as the night took hold of the world. A warm breeze sent raindrops towards the shadowed figure. The umbrella could only do so much against the water. Pausing on the path, the sound of laughter echoed like a distant melody as bundled figures joined her on the white-bricked road. Thunder crashed overhead, a reminder of how small a person truly was in the scheme of things.

The last Guardian

The last Guardian

Her mothers bracelet, the only thing I managed to save and kept hidden for all these years, it’s the perfect gift! I usher her to a door I think leads towards the bathroom and as soon as the door shuts behind her I sprint out of the house, pulling the t-shirt over my head as I jump the fence and shift. The air is crisp and cool, carrying a hint of freshness and new beginnings. The onset of autumn is clearly upon us, the slight dampness under my paws from the dew settling on the ground like a sparkling blanket makes me shiver. The small droplets that settled on every leaf and blade of grass glisten in the early sunlight like a thousand miniature diamonds.
