Xander's POV Cassie has been my mate for ten years now. She has bore me ten kids. All boys except for our youngest pup. She is now six months old. All of her brothers are just so happy to have her as their sister. The pack has chosen Marcus to be the future alpha. Cassie is pregnant for the seventh time. She is having twins. In the order of eldest to youngest, we have Levi, Marcus, and Jackson as our triplets. We had a single pup named Leonardo. Then we had twins Matthew and Kenny. Another single pup Lenny. Our youngest two sons are Samson and Nathan. Then our one and only daughter Ashleigh. We don't know yet if we are having one, two, or three pups or what the genders are.

Every dress Jenna chose, complimented Cassie perfectly, but they agreed on a tight, short, black, crossover V-neck dress with ample cleavage exposure, and it was plenty sexy but not skanky. Cassie felt amazing and since she needed to repay Randy for being an ass, she picked out a sexy pair of silver strappy heels and a matching handbag, big enough to fit her gun. As she approached the register to make her purchase, she passed a wall of toys. Stopping in her tracks, she grinned perversely as an idea crossed her mind. "Jenna. Do the items show on the receipt by description?" Cassie feigned shyness. "I can override the description if you're trying to be discreet."

A familiar scent of roses with molten chocolate passed through my nostrils, Haley was here. Was she in my mind? I knew little about Haley’s power except that she can talk to the dead. And I didn’t die. I ran my fingers through my hair, feeling my nerves breaking down. The sound of giggles broke the silence. I snapped my head towards the sound and followed it. The more I got closer, the more I could hear it clearly. Then the giggles turned into weeping. Haley’s scent became stronger and intoxicating, I turned around myself and called her out, “Haley,”

she said with some annoyance. "Cassarina, you'll know the book I'm talking about once you see it. Just open your eyes," the woman said. Cassarina stared at the old woman who had come to be her mentor and teacher in her black robe. She sighed and got back to work. As she checked the middle of the shelf, a certain book struck her observation. It had the title The Kingdom Itself: Snails on it. "That's a strange name for a kids' story," she whispered but bypassed it and continued the search.

A set of black rim glasses slipped down her nose. Huh, I didn’t know she wears glasses. And now I’m getting a librarian fantasy I can only hope she’ll someday fulfill. “Cass, the brain-dead boy has arrived.” Mrs. Summers announced. Way to blow up my spot, Mrs. Summers. I was enjoying stealthy watching her studying without her knowing. Cassidy’s head lifted from the textbook open in her lap. Those emerald eyes looking bigger behind her glasses locked on me. Yes, I know creeper status reached.

Calix was out in the city, shaking down his own contacts to see who had leaked the location of the safe house. Every time I looked at the security monitors, I saw Hailey. She was in the garden, then she was in the library, then she was pacing the halls. She moved with a strange, predatory grace, her head tilted as if she were catching scents on the wind. She didn't look like a victim anymore. She looked like a hunter. Night fell over Paris, turning the windows into black mirrors. I was standing by the window, watching the rain start to streak against the glass, when my phone rang.

It was a warning. While Cassandra sat beside me, busy tapping on her phone to book the flight, she suddenly paused. Her lips curled into a small smile, then a quiet giggle escaped her. “You might want to see this,” Cassandra said. I glanced at her briefly, irritation already written across my face. “I’m driving,” I snapped. “Just tell me what it is.” Cassandra turned her phone slightly toward me, though she knew I couldn’t look properly. “It’s a headline,” she said, excitement creeping into her voice. “The Harrison family’s missing daughter. They just made it public. There’s a reward involved too.”

She heard it Sneeze. "Y-yes.. at my house." She stuttered. She glared at it. "Thanks! For keeping Alysia in your house." Smiling gratefully to him. "Your welcome." Her plastic smile at the man. "Uhm, I'm just at the library?" Benedick said goodbye to him. Benedick knew the young woman Catherine Ashton and her family, "the great famous and number one Billionaire of Asia they often rival Don Henry in the business world because of its excellence. The Ashton Families are unlikely to be known around the world.
