I say, approaching the dimly lit stairway, "they warned me that you are quiet and deadly." “Silent," she says with a voice too high-pitched to be real, “and deadly”. I slide into the living room from the other side of the house. My feet search for weaknesses in the decaying floorboards. A gasp escapes my mouth. It registers in me that the lady before me isn’t human. Every vein in her body is revealed beneath translucent skin. What I thought was porcelain is limpid. She watches me as a slick stream of sweat rolls down my neck and spine.

Gerald couldn’t even begin fathoming how truly powerful the Grim Phantom was! After doing his best to shake some of the fear off, Gerald cleared his throat before respectfully saying, “…Good day, sir. You see, I’m a half human and half ghost cultivator who’s come to borrow the Phangrottom Talisman in order to save all the souls in the world… The anaconda has died, you see, which means that the large entrance of the ghost world is now open…”

Finally around 10am his phone started ringing. “Hello! What did he say?” Aiden practically yelled at his father through the phone. “Well good morning to you to son, I slept great thank you for asking.” Arthur responded sarcastically, “the doc said he has to have some werewolf blood but she might be a Half Blood. It’s very rare since most werewolves stick to their own kind, but there have been a few one night stands or even short relationships between humans and werewolves. Once in a while a half blood will be the product of that. We think your mate must have grown up as a human. Her mom may not have even known that she had slept with a werewolf let alone gave birth to one.”

Ingrid continued, and this time her words felt sharper and more suffocating. “A meeting of two worlds that were never meant to reunite. Beryl quirked an eyebrow before reaching for a glass of juice, “What is that supposed to mean?” Daff kept her eyes on the floor, her lips still in a sad smile, “W- There’s a bit of trouble… There’s someone called Damon around who’s hunting Half-Myths.” Beryl nodded as she drank her juice, the liquid not tasting as good anymore. Miles muttered before he flipped to another page. "Vampirar is vampire." I put away the heavy drapes. Bright and blinding rays of the sun penetrated my skin, leaving a somewhat stinging sensation. I stepped away from the windows and grabbed clean clothes, opting for a casual dress and light leather boots. The weather seemed fine, and in case his family invited us to while the day away with more outdoor activities, at least I'd be comfortable. "What's 'dhampirica'?" He checked it again. “Why was she sealed?” He mumbled to himself. “She’s mine,” Ciel growled at Cedric who was about to touch as he quickly raised his hands.

I answered but instead she sighed at me, and then walked away from us without looking back. "I'm sorry you had to quarrel with her because of me. I apologize for having her take after my temperament" Her father Apologized after she was gone. "It's alright. Let's go and meet the seer for the rescheduling" I answered, as we stood up to leave. "I'm afraid we can't reschedule the ritual again," The seer said to us as we arrived. "May I ask why it is so wise?" I inquired. "He is currently a half-human and a half-wolf and to such a person, nothing again can be done to put him in either of the two spots" She replied.

There must be a reason they haven’t just killed him, he is important somehow. The other beings that I thought were human, were anything but. The biggest of them all was abnormally tall and muscular. His arms hung low and crooked, his knees bent in the wrong direction, and he was hairy like a wild boar. It wasn’t until he turned his head, and I could see his features in the moonlight, did I understand why he looked that way. I covered my mouth with my hand before an audible gasp left my lips. A half-breed. Impossible. I quickly looked at the other humans, and I felt my stomach tighten with anger and something that could have been mistaken as fear. They were all half-breeds. This can’t be.
