She found her loading her rifle. “There are a lot of them out there. It looks like he’s brought his army,” Maggie muttered. Brandon ran to the window. The dark of night was filled with red eyes as far as he could see. It was like a field of rubies reflecting the light of the moon. Tara moved beside Brandon and silently took in the sea of fiery eyes and once again recalled Liam’s words. ‘You have near you very dear souls who, together with you, will be able to stop the evil that has been unleashed.’

Miyuki walked slowly towards her neighborhood, following the route of the bus she had taken here. Miyuki felt extraordinary peace and contentment until suddenly, when she walked past the smaller street flooded with darkness, she felt someone grab her arm and pulling into this darkness. Miyuki's heart immediately began to beat quickly with fear that enveloped her again like a shroud. She tried to focus on what to do if was about to face some kind of monster, but the fear seemed to drown it all out.

Just then, a brilliantly-colored barrier of light appeared around Wilbur. He stood in the middle of this barrier, completely unmoving. The terrifying Halo of Death struck the barrier, and Maddox let out a crazed laugh. No power could withstand the Halo of Death. It was the God of Darkness' ultimate move, powerful enough to destroy any living being and send their soul to feed the God of Darkness. However, Maddox's smile froze the very next instant. The light shooting out of Halo of Death was completely absorbed by Wilbur's Dragon's Safehaven without even causing the slightest of ripples.

I heard Sólas ordered. A blanket wrapped around me, then strong arms helped me up, and another pair of hands pressed something warm into my own. Robotically, I sipped the drink feeling the miracle elixir send quick fiery heat through my stomach up to my limbs and settling in my brain. When I was finally able to function again, I stood in front of the castle doors surrounded by Blue Draygons.

Mira, Elda, the twins, and I turned on the others, cutting them down individually until only Halo remained. We gathered in a semicircle, watching Holly and Halo fight with unrestrained rage. “Why, Halo?!” Holly roared. “Why did you do all this?!” “Because he rejected me!” Halo’s scream split the night. “He rejected me and chose that pathetic woman as his Luna! And to make it worse, she was his second chance mate! Why does he get happiness while I get nothing?!” Her tears glistened, though her voice was soaked in venom.

Chapter 54 The Gift The Halo deck shimmered to life, its holographic projections weaving a breathtaking tapestry of color and light. Niklaus and Kie had chosen a Starlit night: a view from Heaven. It was amazing it seemed like you were walking on thin air among the stars in the Heavens.

So much so that Leandra almost believed it was fake and only in her head. She saw the beautiful Mariana with a crown on her head. The images glitched as the crowned image of Mariana was beginning to conflict with the current and real image of Mariana. The images finally became stable but this time, she wished it hadn't found its stability. For there was blood on the crown. Leandra watched as the blood dripped down her face and tainted Mariana's perfect fair skin. "Leandra! What is wrong with you?" Mariana exclaimed as she shook Leandra violently.

she yelled Silas placed his hand on her shoulder. “Do you feel any pain in your chest?” He asked Fiona raised her brow in puzzlement. “What?” “You don't, right? That is because you have a healthy heart. That boy is suffering from heart failure and that seizure could've killed him if I hadn't been there so yes, his life is more important” Fiona's eyes whelmed up, “I can't believe you're saying this,” Silas ascended the stairs, paying her fuss no attention.

Flames race up the walls, curling along the ceiling. Kael shouts my name, but the roar of power drowns him out. Selene raises both hands. The halo detonates. A wave of celestial fire surges toward me, scorching the ground to molten stone. I respond without thinking—lifting my arms as shadows erupt like a shield. Fire and darkness collide in a deafening blast. The force tears the chamber apart. Stone bursts from the walls. Pillars topple. The floor fractures into jagged slabs. The council members who remained scatter, screaming as the world collapses around them.

“The Dominion.” “The Council.” “The Keepers.” “For centuries you’ve all been fighting over pieces of the same story.” He tapped the journal lightly. “My family learned long ago…” “…that the whole story frightens everyone.” ⸻ A violent tremor shook the Sanctum. Dust fell from the ceiling. Captain Nora looked toward the staircase. “The water’s rising faster.” Adrian hurried to the stone window. “The lower tunnels are already flooding.” Helena closed her eyes. “We have minutes.”
