Kaius argued. I heard his voice through the corridor, low and furious as I turned to the direction the sound came from.
If he denied Ethan’s sister access, it would look like fear.
She inclined her head, respectful. “Luna Adelaide.”
I didn’t correct her.
“Lady Selene,” I replied, tasting the name I’d heard whispered all morning.
She gestured to the chairs. “May I?”
I nodded. She sat across from me, folding her hands in her lap. For a long moment, she said nothing.
