Then the clouds came. The second the sun was hiding behind the clouds, the loudest shriek Liam had ever heard in his life erupted from behind him. He turned, but he was too slow. A figure in a black cloak had grabbed him and lifted him a solid foot from the ground. It’s hands were cold, clammy, and strong. Liam struggled to breathe, crying out in pain.
