I’m out of my seat hot on their heels, all care for being discovered forgotten. I nearly pull the shabby old door off of its hinges I spot the five of them jeering each other as they turn a corner down a back alley across the street from the bar. I have no care for oncoming traffic as I speed across the road to follow them. Pausing for a moment to take in the scene, it is a dead end alley, Amelia has reached the bottom and is turning slowly realising she is blocked in by the five slime balls. As I take off running to save her I’m sure I catch a whisper of a smile take her face as they descend upon her.

Soon, I arrived at a nook down the corner of Faber Alley and I was finally alone, for now. I crouched my knees in perpetual exhaustion, clutching my breath as if I was panting for my life. I walked through the endless rows of crumbling red masonry on the cusp of dawn which the alleyway turned into blood-red night. My figure cast red shadows of dwarves and monsters onto the bricks, creepily reminding me of the image of my decaying sister. At the end of the alley, an open backdoor revealed itself, casting a faint white light on the parallel wall.

SOMEWHERE IN THE DINGY CORNER OF THE ALLEYWAYS OF ZELDERETH EMPIRE_ A few shady shadows were seen seated in a rundown small inn of the Briskwood alleyway. All of them had their faces covered under dusty hoods, looking very much suspicious. One of the perpetrators was a reedy thin woman with a shrill voice called Ophelia Vegan, she was a part-time pimp of the red-light districts who was never upto any good. The others were all rough-looking gruff men.

The group of thugs who had been hacking at the door below had their jaws to the ground, nearly dropping their steel pipes. "What... What kind of trick is this?" Before they could react, the group of zombies at the alley entrance smelled fresh humans and roared as they pounced. The thugs screamed in terror and scattered, leaving Uncle Adam hanging alone in mid-air. "Help! Help! Thomas, Monica, Alissa! Pull me up!" Looking at the rotting, festering faces below, Uncle Adam was terrified. He desperately twisted his body like a dehydrated jerky in mid-air.

I clenched my fists, steeling myself for the inevitable confrontation in this dark alleyway, far from any help or light. My companions tensed, ready for a fight if needed. We had not expected to cross paths so soon, in this place of death and secrets. A challenge awaited, and I know that only one team would leave the crypts of bone with the missing piece of the map, bringing us closer to unlocking the dark truth behind these cursed games.

The data chip remained hidden, a precious treasure close to her skin. Finally, the night of the third moon arrived. The city, bathed in its cool, ethereal glow, seemed to hold its breath. Anya navigated the twisting streets of District 17, her heart pounding against her ribs. She reached Midnight Alley, a notorious den of thieves and scavengers. The air hung heavy with the smell of stale food and something vaguely chemical.

Emily stood in the darkness of the alley, her heart racing as she awaited Alex's return. The air was thick with tension, and every sound that mingled there made her mind race with options. Would Victor come back, or had Alex caught him? Fear and resolve trapped her in an internal nightmare.

Both of them followed them slowly out of the office through the back door of it, which they just discovered that it exists, that was hidden behind the curtains at the rear end of it. Crossing the door, they were now in an alley which was about a few meters long and hardly two meters wide, not too illuminated, neither too dark, the narrow walls were made narrower by the pictures hung on the wall, which could be better off without them, at least it would have saved them some of the space inside the alley. No one cared as Mr Muscle pushed her forward, her hands still tied. They were indeed in an alley, Emma noticed. It was wide enough for the car, but not much else. Further down, there were a couple of dumpsters and three flickering lamps on the side of one of the buildings that provided some light. They were headed toward a green steel door, the only door in sight.
