Now.” She rolled her eyes and spoke to someone off-camera. “Both of them are suck killjoys!” She started moving and then finally, the phone was handed over to the rightful owner. River was wearing a fluffy white bathrobe and had a golden face mask on. She moved one cucumber off one eye when Hannah passed her the phone, and a small smile tugged at her lips as she tried to sit up, only to be pushed back down by a tattooed hand, probably Hannah again. It was blurry at first and slowly came into focus. On the western border of their territory, there was a wide river that was either calm or deadly depending on the season. "Henry dear is extremely busy. Just say what you want and hit the road, honey." Melissa stood up and walked over to my mother, calmly introduced herself, and led her to a chair in front of my desk. Hanna was looking at me as if asking whether I wasn't going to talk to her. "Who's this crazy woman, Henry dear?" Hanna said my name with a Spanish accent. She was Colombian, which I found charming because, although she spoke English well, she still had a lovely accent.
