Hugo asked while Ben runs away from us. "The all-time famous spaghetti and meatballs with a twist." I say.

“You need any help?” “No. The food's ready.” “You cooked pasta?” I ask when he returns to the stove. I'm not really in the mood for a chat, but at least he's not aloof and is actually fluent in English unlike the other guy. “And some pancakes. Here you go.” Paolo serves me a plate of warm pancakes with berries, and then a bowl of pale fettucine pasta with a rich marinara sauce. “These look and smell great. Thank you.”

I hurriedly pick up the fork next to the plate and hungrily scooped up the pasta. "I knew it! I know your weakness. Tuna pasta makes you a seven-year-old kid!" he teased and laugh hardly as if his throat is going to break. I ignored what he had said. I was busy with the food on my plate. It's mouthwatering! Tuna pasta is my fucking favourite! "Slow down, dude. Tita will be going to scold me if you die due to suffocation." he teased once again. Still, I didn't pay attention to him. It's more meaningful to face this delicious meal in front of me than talking to my monkey cousin.

I started tasting the pasta, it was incredibly delicious. “this is so good… um-m” I moaned, the taste was just that good. I felt Harris foot touching my foot from under the table, I looked at him to see his annoyed look. I blushed, “excuse me, it’s just that…the food is so good that I forgot my manners” I said with an apologetic look, Wendy and Hector both smiled, “it’s okay, you’re one of the family now, besides I can’t blame you, I make the best pasta” Wendy said while Hector nodded.

It was enough to make his stomach rumble. Harvey's eyes quickly traced the table prepared in the middle of the courtyard. In addition to a plate of pasta, there were plenty of freshly baked pastries. Meanwhile, Vaida walked out wearing an apron from somewhere with sticks of deep-fried grasshoppers, putting them on a plate right in front of Harvey. Knowing the meal in question would be way more relieving. I take the dome off. My face flattens. It’s pasta and meat. Shredded meat rises up at the center as the pasta is layered beneath it in an expertise setting. Small leaves are over the plate as well with some kind of sauce. This doesn’t look like the everyday pasta meal. “Nope, I don’t know.” I say, keeping my eyes pressed on the food in front of me. It scents good. I can feel my stomach roar with a newfound craving for this pasta. “El gusto pasta with pulled pork, beef and mushrooms.” Killian says.

She inhaled the aroma with a delighted smile from the spatula before serving it on her plate and making her way to the dining table. "Gosh, I missed Julia." She sighed watching herself alone at the dining table. And guessed if Julia would be here, she would do the happy dance for this creamy pasta meal. It's her all-time favourite just like her. When they escape a proper meal, this cheese pasta is everything for both of them as it contains only herbs and cream. However, before she could take a bite from her meal, someone rang her main doorbell. She put the spoon back and stand to walk towards the door.

That was not how I had been raised.
