Camila took out that last one, the book was big, it had a red cover with the image of the town itself. But that image was in black and white, as if it was taken years ago.

Touched and angry at the same time. Touched that he'd cared enough to think about what I'd want. Angry that he'd been planning my imprisonment. I pushed those complicated feelings aside and kept browsing. The fiction section was extensive. Mystery novels. Thrillers. Fantasy. Literary fiction. And romance novels. A whole shelf of them. I pulled one out, curious. The cover showed a shirtless man with tattoos and a woman in a provocative pose. Very dramatic. Very over-the-top. I flipped it over to read the back.

The curly blonde-haired girl, on the other hand, was just confused as she sized me up with her eyes. My eyes were locked on the handsome Alpha prince, so sexy and domineering with his Alpha aura filling the air. He had that bad boy enticing appearance that most ladies would love and his dreamy hazel eyes cute, but right there, I knew he wasn't for me. I felt happy, content, and sometimes wished I'd have a happy ending. I started going through the books slowly as I checked out their names. Thousands of romance stories stood arranged on the shelf. I squinted my eyes at one that caught my attention. I selected it. "An Omega Breeder For The Ruthless Alpha King." That was the name of the book. I smiled at the book cover. It had a handsome man with a young maiden who looked smitten with her man. Goosebumps arose on my body at their chemistry. That was what books did to me. I imagined myself as the character.
