(Harper’s POV) “I’m sorry, what now?” I stared at Harry, dumbfounded. He flicked through some more pages of the book and then turned it to face me. I apprehensively looked down at the book. The page was titled “Bloodline” and there was a picture of a wicked-looking blade down one side. The writing was a little faded and handwritten, but despite all that, it felt so familiar and I could read it, like it was something I had read a thousand times before.

Orion snorted, sending a spray of toothpaste into his beard. "Harriet, what kind of half-baked remark was that?" I shot her a dirty look. Harriet was losing her touch, if that's all she could come up with as an amusing comment. "You know, in Harry Potter, Harry could hear the snake moving around in the pipes." Harriet shook her head as she crossed her arms defensively. "I could hear you through the pipes. You guys were so loud I couldn't hear the echo of my own moans." I hopped to my feet and waddled over to the couch. I placed the back of my hand on Harriet's forehead. "No, you don't have a fever. Harriet, honey, I think that's the stupidest thing I have ever heard you say."

Hank offered as he thwarted a vampire’s attempt to pull off his head by biting him in the hand. When the double doors of the castle flew open and a new surge of angry castle supernatural residents poured into the great room with the intent to kill, all conversation stopped. Hank pulled a whistle from around his neck and blew it long and hard. It not only summoned a new surge of zombies to flood the great hall, but it caused the vampires to stop for a brief, stunned moment.

he said, offering his hand to which I took. “So where to?“ “It's a surprise. Don't worry it's nothing fancy” He led me outside and straight into the woods. The forest that I had seen on my first day. “Ummmh I don't think that's a good place to go” I said nervously. “Don't worry” he said “I know it looks ominous but there's nothing to worry about and besides I'm here” “Have you ever watched Harry Potter?“ “Yeah but what's it got to do with this?“

The torches dimmed, their flames curling inward like they were afraid. And then, silence. Not empty silence. Anticipation. A ripple passed through the chamber, and from the darkness at the end, a figure came in. Harry. His silver eyes shone, not with amusement this time, but with fury. He looked at the circle,at the shattered vial, at the fading glow of the runes. And, slowly, his eyes landed on me. “You broke it,” he said, his voice low and dangerous. “You dared.” I didn’t move. “I’m not yours.”

The wolves at the edge of the forest vanished as quickly as they'd come, melting into the shadows like mist at dawn. But their words lingered in the cold air, settling into my chest like something that would never leave. *The half-blood has passed the first test. Now let's see if she can pass the second.*

My brows deepened as I heard something strange. Something like a murmur of someone with words that were beyond my comprehension. Sorcery? Could it be a witch who got me and imprisoned me in this place? My senses sharpened, desperate to know more—hoping I could talk to the culprit and make a deal with him or her to get out of this place. But the question is, are they willing to listen?

Brooklyn asked and jumped in shock when Mrs Mental appeared by her and Harry's desk and dropped a text book in front of them. "Page soixante-quinze," Mrs Mental smiled. "Answer questions." Brooklyn stared at the book on the table as Mrs Mental walked away and Harry rolled his eyes at her confused expression. "Page 75," he translated. Brooklyn nodded slightly and reached for the text book at the same time as Harry. Their hands clashed and Brooklyn tensed, feeling the explosion of sparks at his touch. She immediately drew her hand back and placed it in her lap, staring intently at the desk and avoiding Harry's gaze.

Exactly how I needed to look. "Have you forgotten that you were injured last night? You must’ve gotten the scents mixed up," I said to Vivi as I grabbed my black bag from the table. "I guess so," she murmured in my mind. I brushing off the nagging thought as I stepped out of my room. My heels clicked against the floor as I walked swiftly down the hallway, but my mind drifted to Harry. Without thinking, my pace quickened. When I reached his door, I turned the knob and pushed it open without hesitation. There he was, already awake, sitting comfortably on his bed with a novel in his hands. The title caught my eye "Lycanthropy."
