Then the massive doors at the far end of the chamber slowly creaked open. Heavy footsteps echoed across the marble floor. I froze and Hansel froze beside me. Someone had entered. My hand immediately went to the dagger beneath my cloak. I looked toward Hansel,she was still clutching the grimoire, we couldn't let them find it.
