― Albus Dumbledore, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire M E Y W A N G | The Asian Potterhead "I am not your friend, Hunter. I do not think we could ever be friends considering the only reason I made acquaintances with you is so that I could use you." This was not what I had planned to say to him but since the words had come out, there was no point in taking them back. I hated to see the pain reflected in his dark eyes, how his smile faltered until it was gone without a trace.

I stepped forward, my pulse quickening as I prepared for the duel. Caden, tall and imposing, regarded me with a mixture of contempt and amusement. He drew his sword, its blade gleaming in the morning light. I unsheathed my own weapon, feeling its familiar weight in my hand. The steel felt cold, but it was a comfort against the heat of the moment. The duel began, and Caden wasted no time in launching a fierce attack. His strikes were powerful and precise, each blow aimed to overwhelm and incapacitate. I blocked and parried with all my strength, every muscle in my body straining to keep up with his relentless assault.

She slammed her staff into the ground, unleashing a shockwave that shattered the frozen serpent and sent Jacques stumbling. The duel intensified, the library’s walls trembling under the weight of their magic. Jacques summoned a cyclone of flying tomes, but Gertrude’s fiery incantations turned the storm into ash. In a final, decisive move, she drew upon an ancient spell, her voice echoing through the chamber. “Ignis et Umbra, consume!” Flames and shadows intertwined, enveloping Jacques in a swirling vortex. When the energy dissipated, Jacques lay unconscious, his staff shattered beside him. Gertrude stood over him, victorious yet weary.

The two engaged in a deadly dance of magic, with each clash sending sparks of fire and light erupting in the dimly lit hall, as if they were caught in the midst of a dazzling but lethal fireworks display. At that moment, Peter arrived by Maria’s side. Seeing her locked in a deadlock with Yolanda, he immediately joined the fray to provide support. Armed with no weapon but his sheer resolve, Peter snatched a nearby metal pipe and hurled it toward Yolanda with surprising force. The attack was swift and unexpected, but Yolanda’s reflexes were quick. She dodged the blow and swiftly turned, sending a dark curse flying toward him. Peter, undeterred, let out a mocking laugh and reached into his coat

I challenged the knight and he looked skeptical. "What? Don't tell me you're scared? Don't be. I am wolfless now, aren't I? I'm sure you're not scared of me." I taunted him and his eyes flashed an angry red as his fangs extended. We both looked at Seymour for his permission and the leech actually looked excited. "Let the battle begin." He grinned and wrapped an arm around his wife and they vanished in a second. The duel took place in the activity area where most practice happens with a small group of spectators, including Seymour and Alyssa. I removed my shirt and only left my pants on and the stupid knight did the same, flexing his body arrogantly.

The elders stood nearby as Elder Eldric raised his staff, his voice turning grim. “This Honor Duel will decide Lady Mira and her pup’s fate,” he growled in a heavy tone. “No weapons, only strength and will. The victor’s word is final. Begin!” The crowd hushed and my heart pounded as both Alpha Kieran and Kyden began walking in a circle at a steady pace. They both were growling lowly, keeping their eyes locked on each other. Kieran moved first, lunging with a swift strike and his fist grazed Kyden’s jaw. Kyden dodged the attack effortlessly, his voice turning into a snarl.

Victor rose to his feet and strode over to the window, looking into the dark forest, "I don't even know if they're dead or alive." "But wait, hold on. Quade killed Huxley, shouldn't he have taken the title?" I queried, moving to stand beside him. "What are the rules to a duel? You've been in two, you should know them." Victor looked at me from his peripheral, waiting for my answer.

Jun elbowed him to shut him up. JD chuckled. “It’s okay, Jun. Let David talk.” He said. Jun nodded at him. “But it’s okay if you won’t tell me, hyung.” David told JD. “It’s okay, David. You should know about this.” JD said. Then he turned to all of them. “As you know, Hercules and I will be having a duel.” He continued. David gasped but stayed quiet. “And I know you guys will try to know when and where it will happen no matter what. So I’ll save your energy for doing that. I will tell you now.”
