“Friendship bracelets, maybe?”
“What are you, ten?” I scoff.
“A few years ago,” she giggles. “But I’ve never had friendship bracelets.”
“Try finding a sane friend, maybe?”
“I would have to be sane for that to happen.” She snickers, laughing at her own miserable job. She does strike me like the kind of girl who never had friendship bracelets, and if not for King, Maddox, Row, and their other friends, then I, too, would have been that girl. But I wasn’t, they made friendship bracelets for me and with me, and religiously wore theirs until they snapped, and I had to make new ones.
