Another hand was raised in a second. “Go on,” Prof Odessa nudged. “Spell books are heavy to carry around. Does that mean they have to take it everywhere to do magic?” “Well,” Prof Odessa cleared her throat, closing her teaching box with everything she had brought out earlier completely in. “Due to advanced magic, you could shrink a spell book and turn it into a metal necklace.” My memory went back to that night with Kamari. She had touched that small silver book necklace around her neck before she pushed the table towards me. Was she perhaps a siphon? The other girl who had blocked my view of Kai had that exact necklace too, the black-colored version.

He must have be really hungry judging from how quick he was taking life out of the men. “What do you mean by silly spells? Magic is a serious thing, there's nothing silly about it.” I heard him say again, scolding me for using the word silly. “I meant spells like lifting food off tables, or making something disappear.” “Those are all very demanding spells Leiya.” I let out a frustrated sigh, taking the last small piece of bread into my mouth. I knew there was no winning this argument, the best thing to do was to remain silent. I quietly watched as he devoured his last meal, the last prisoner at the table.

She reached for the jar of water as she spoke, cussing the next second when her hand inadvertently knocked the jar off the table, sending it tumbling towards the floor. Without a moment's hesitation, my instincts kicked in, my mind racing as I called upon the magic coursing through my veins. With a flick of my wrist, I casted a spell, unaware of my environment at that moment, or the shock on the faces of Peter and Diana. The air crackled with energy as the jar and its contents froze mid-fall, suspended in mid-air. But to my astonishment, it wasn't just the cup that hung suspended—it was the entire table, along with the food and utensils resting upon it.

He begins tracing symbols in the air, his movements precise and deliberate, and I follow his lead, letting my own magic flow through me as I weave it into the pattern. The first trap is a simple barrier spell, designed to repel intruders with brute force. I focus on unraveling the threads of the spell, pulling them apart one by one, while Permiton stabilizes the magic to prevent it from collapsing on us. It’s delicate work, requiring focus and precision, but as we move through it, I feel something shift within me.

Titles like 'The Elements of Magic' and 'Harnessing the Power Within' stared back at me, their spines cracked with age. “Alright,” I murmured to myself, flipping open a book. “Let’s see what you’ve got for me.” The hours slipped by as I read, my mind absorbing information about spells, incantations, and the delicate balance of energy required to wield magic effectively. It was fascinating and overwhelming all at once. I practiced small spells, testing my control. A simple flame flickered to life in my palm before I snuffed it out. I levitated a quill, watching as it floated lazily through the air. These were small feats, but they were progress.

I jumped to the level of the god just for myself to get punched back down. I could hear the concrete falling and the feet of the god matching towards me. I felt his heavy extremities, like the hoof of a horse on my neck. I managed to tilt my neck over to Maria, having an eye contact with her was enough until I saw what she was trying to do. She was trying to harness to power of "Gesture Magic." The most destructive of all magic and not just that, failure to get the right spell on time will eat the practitioner from the inside.

Daisy herself felt the denseness of the wood and felt her butt herself ruminating about the chair itself. Which had many other students muttering about the hard seats and the coldness of the room. “Now let’s get started, Welcome to Strange Magic." This year we are going to be learning about all potion-spells, conjuring, forbidden spells and all you need to know about the magic to do and not to.” He stood up grabbing a vial from his cabinet that had slimy black molasses, at an angel he poured the substance into the cauldron.

She stands up and stretches, before rubbing her wrists and then she walks over to her bag on the floor and pulls out her book of spells. Always Standing next to her, I watch her constantly as she prepares for the spell and then starts to speak. “Hear me now. Let what has been done, be undone, and made right. Shall the spell be broken, and no harm come to them.” The minute she says the words, I hear Arabella’s voice. “They are waking up!” She exclaims.

They were too perfect to exist. "Boundary spells will take time to create hence the reason I brought a dark object that will immediately drain him of his power and make him seem more humane." Suzy winked at me. "What is the dark object?" Hilda touched a large palm tree bark and the wind started swirling almost immediately. "You will see," she said and stopped mid-air to inspect our surroundings. She slowed her breathing as she tried to make a magical reading.

’ she asks me curiously. ‘No, but maybe one day we might? Who knows what our future has in store for us,’ I smile, open the book of spells, and read over a few. Revito Sprouto means to grow. Dimulous, a spell to darken the light. Illumini, to create a bright light, Interesting. I flip through more pages to read more spells and chants. The back of the book has potion recipes. Suddenly, Kayla startles me as she stands very close, staring intently at my hair. She’s a bit odd, how she was reading my hand like a book and now staring at my white hair in thought.
