"Here, tonic for the nerves," he said with a smile, but I shook my head.

I grumbled, tossing a coin at him. He shuffled on his feet. Swallowed hard. His eyes flicked to an older wolf at the end of the bar. My gaze followed them. The older man sighed, walking over with a scowl. “I’ll take of this Liam.” The bartender sighed relieved, “Thanks Harry.” He said, nodding as he basically bolted out the back. Harry pulled out a bottle, pouring as his jaw ticked. Footsteps thudded, stopping behind me. I glanced over my shoulder to find a young wolf, too tall for his age and a permanent frown of his face. The scar on his left eye crumbled as he snarled.

Visibly more relaxed, Harry pulled his wallet out of the back pocket of his jeans and handed the Alpha Black a hundred-dollar bill.

Sophie gives me a little nudge once the crowd is manageable and heads out back for a smoke. All of the bodies in the bar are making it unbearably hot. Gripping the hair tie on my wrist, I quickly throw my hair up into a messy bun. Just as I am about to twist the hair tie one last time the door of the bar swings open wildly. The scent of honeysuckle hits my nose, and my mouth immediately begins to water. My eyes immediately turn to see who just walked in and my breath gets caught in my throat. A dark God just walked in.

I turn on my bar stool with the bottle in my hand as I look at Harry. “I needed to shower, and I didn’t want to pressure you into something you may not even want. No harm done. I apologise for being forward. I’m good now.” I say as I turn back in my seat when he stops me and I watch him as I bring the bottle to my lips and sip it. Harry grabs the bottle from my hand and keeps his eyes on me as he drains the bottle. He finishes it and places the empty bottle on the bar before he lifts me and places me on his shoulder. I squeal his hand comes down on my ass as I wiggle to get down, which I could easily do, but I don’t want to.
