Alice POV I hear the door open but I don’t want to move. I don’t want to look at him. I don’t know what to do. I know I am supposed to listen to him. She sensed a shift in the serene atmosphere, but she shook it off, guessing that it probably wanted to rain. Just then, Harry burst into the room, panting heavily, pupils dilated and sweat bands all over his face. He ran to his mother and hugged her tightly, his hands shaking. “Mummy! Mummy!” He cried out, his little arms wrapped around her in fear. Charlene panicked, picking him up and checking him for any injuries, but she found nothing.

I turned and saw Harmony halfway up the ladder to my bed, half of her body crawling under my mosquito net. Her expression was grotesquely exaggerated, filled with fear as she stared at me. I let out a terrified scream and jumped upright from my bed in shock.
