"Wait, what door actually?" Janet queried. "You would have to catch up. We don't have time to keep explaining." Mercury replied her and Janet kept quiet trying to understand from where we are. "According to the story writer, he said the door was locked with a kind of spell, that could only be broken by a half Dogmarian and a half Shalonian right?" Mercury replied my question and I tried to think it through.

His words echo. I shake my head and try to get to my feet. "They used a blocking spell on him. It will take a while for him to pull himself together. He is drunk on the magic they used," Libby says. In my haste, my fingers moved to clasp the doorknob when Arch quickly retrieved my hand and held me back. "There could be a spell on the door." He mind-linked, reminding me of the location that we were in, a powerful wizard's home while nodding his head towards the glowing red stone on my neck. Shit, I almost forgot Annabelle's forewarning about the stone going all hot when there's dark magic nearby. Following Annabelle's actions in the underground passageway, I clasped the stone in one hand and placed my other hand on the surface of the door. I could feel the thrum of magic underneath my skin as my palm rested on the door. A moment later, a clicking sound was heard and the door swung open.

Belle shocked them all by bursting into laughter. She pointed at Caine. "Psychic Boy knows everything!" Her laughter became tears and quietened to stifled sobs when Damien kicked her in the side. I giggled and pushed my hands against his chest, "Let me go for now." He protested but I managed to wriggle out of his hold and jogged toward the door while laughing over my shoulder. Once again, the Book of Spells was taken out of the locker by Xee and we all huddled together to search for any related spell. She tastes the food and scrunches her nose up lightly. A smile tugs at the corner of my lips and I place a firmer kiss on her forehead. Soon she’ll get to cook for me for real. When was the last time I used a verbal incantation for a spell as simple as locking doors? The hallways fall silent when I pass and the fear is tangible.

A loud shrieking sound came from the beast. If he wasn't angry before, he sure was now! Think Hazel, THINK! But what the fuck could I do? I was just a girl, a stupid girl waving a stick at a nightmarish beast. What could a stick do? Suddenly an idea popped into my mind. I lifted the stick higher and made sure it was directly pointed at the beast. "EXPELLIARMUS!" I shouted. But nothing happened. FUCK! This spell always worked for Harry Potter - most of the times.

I yelled Oh no, Harry! He said as he rushed outside. I wanted to stop him but he left the room in a rush and I followed him and made a halt at the door. Boom!!! Ouch, that would hurt. Maybe there was a way to know why I couldn't seem to remember my childhood, or maybe there could be some kind of spell to help me remember. I reached Valerie's spell room; the door was locked. I called out to her but she wasn't responding. It seemed like she wasn't in, so I placed my hand on the door, desperately hoping it would open for me like it did the first time. I knocked on it once and was about to knock again when the door squeaked open. My lips broke into a smile. I couldn't even hide the elation that clawed its way to the surface. Without hesitation, I entered the spell room, shutting the door behind me.
