THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

THE BILLIONAIRE’S SECOND CHANCE BETRAYAL

Deep, calm—a man’s voice. "This is The Foundation. Protocol Zero has failed. We’d like to thank the Avery family for testing the network. The human element has been measured. The results are... acceptable." June stood up. Her blood turned icy. "The next phase of the Harvest will begin in sixty seconds," the voice said. "Please stay in your homes. Do not try to fight the change. The fire was only the first ingredient." June looked at her hands. Under her skin, a tiny silver dot began to grow. Not yeast. It looked like a sliver from a clock. She saw one on Leo’s arm too.

DON'T MESS WITH THE HEIRESS

We were focused on helping people grow. By the time June arrived the heat had settled into the valley. The hills shimmered in the sun. The air was thick with the smell of earth and ripe grapes. The village of the Rossi Trust had become a place where people could experiment with a kind of economy. We did not have a boss. We had a group of elders and workers who made decisions together. We did not make decisions in a city like Manhattan. We made decisions under the shade of trees in the village square.

The Plague of Desire

The Plague of Desire

"Your wife is fine. I've already explained the treatment plan to her. If she follows it, she'll see significant improvement in ten days to a month." Tom shook Dr. Carter's hand, thanking him profusely. I quickly grabbed Tom and fled. It went without saying that Dr. Carter's treatment plan was truly effective. After about ten days, my addiction was completely gone, and I no longer lost control of my urges. The corn and sorghum were all harvested. Willow Creek was full of middle-aged and elderly people, and there weren't many entertainment activities. To celebrate the bumper harvest, the town mayor, Harold Boone, organized a movie screening.

The Endgame Chronicles

The Endgame Chronicles(The Apocalyptic Queen Theresa)(Supreme Survivor In The Zombie Apocalypse)

" Hayley listened, clearly pleased. Human technology was finally starting to show its strength. All the investment she had poured into research was paying off. Hayley climbed up onto the harvester herself to test it. Once she powered it on, the massive modified machine roared to life. The front intake spun violently, sharp blades and gears flashing with a cold sheen. Kit tossed a large pig leg bone into the intake. Crunch, crack! The harvester swallowed the solid bone whole, and as Hayley drove forward, it left chunks of debris scattered behind. After taking it for a full test run, Hayley climbed down, thoroughly satisfied. "Great work. We can roll this out." Kit's face lit up with pride. "W

This is by far and beyond the best book I've read in a long time! It kept me so engaged that I had a lot of sleepless nights and I had to force myself to put it down. If it was in book form, I would buy it in a heartbeat! Thank you Hugh White for writing and publishing this book. it's the story of a

Worth the read, well written and has a decent plot. The characters generally have a lot of depth, although one or two have been a little strange, maybe written that way on purpose. The FMC sometimes feels a little too cold, and vengeful, but again part of her character... I will continue reading!

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

FORSAKEN WIFE, NOW A BILLIONAIRE'S GREATEST REGRET

“It doesn’t just widen. It sometimes bends back around.” A few weeks later, the Harvest Home festival was in full, glorious swing. The pier was strung with lights, music floated over the water, and the scent of grilled fish and apple cider filled the air. Hank’s boat was doing a brisk trade. Lena was overseeing the pie contest with terrifying efficiency. I stood with Arthur at the railing of the pier, watching it all. The community we’d fought for was no longer an idea; it was a living, breathing, laughing organism around us.

THE LAST BREEDER, CLAIMED BY FOUR

I repeated. "Yes," she said, offering a tight, polite smile. "It's my job, Edal. In case you've forgotten, those seeds are the only reason this town has a second harvest planned for the autumn. I am ensuring our investment doesn't rot in the dark." I looked down at her satchel. The leather flap was propped open, and I could see the dark foam insert inside. Three glass vials—labeled *WHEAT - VARIANT 4B*, *SOYBEAN - GEN-3*, and *CORN - ACID ADAPTIVE*—were already slotted into the foam.

he slaps at what looks like a journal of some kind, "on 'failed transformations' and 'tests.'" I take the journal from his hand. The handwriting isn't too legible but I can make out enough of the words. "Experiment 102: failure. Genome successfully wiped, new installation unviable. Alive." I skip back several pages. "Experiment 86: failure. Seizure mid genome wipe. Fatality." The rest of the pages continued on like this. Failure after failure. I've fought these 'experiments' and I feel like not much about them were failures. Sure, they look hideous but if all he's going for is greater strength, then surely they aren't all failures.

Mother's Experiment: The Key to Insanity

Mom smiled brightly at the camera. "Good evening, everyone. Today is my daughter's 18th birthday. Thank you all for tuning in to the live broadcast. As the lead test subject, I'm honored to introduce you to the AetherSync System." I was led into the camera's view by one of the developers from the lab. "As you can all see," Mom began proudly, "Elsa has been able to grow up carefree and flawless because I implanted a microchip in her the moment she was born. The chip in her body can block pain, enhance memory, and perfect her personality."

My marriage was for money, his for vengeance

They held because they yielded. --- 2:04 PM — Sector E, Shadow-Trellis Nutrition Beds The sun shone through levels of staggered trellises, making patterns over greens and reds in rows. Children were inserting paper-protected nutrient notes into slots of soil—a ceremony of sorts. Quiet, deliberate, not quite farm-like. Not quite sacramental. Caelan observed one child hesitate before inserting theirs. "What does that one say?" The child displayed the note: 'I hope the next harvest knows we tried.'

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

Bloodbound: The legacy of Serelai

They were starting from zero. The Harmony became a university. The students, under the gardeners' guidance, began to compile everything they knew. They wove "knowledge packets"—complex patterns on the Loom that contained the principles of farming, of water purification, of basic construction, of community governance. They sent these to Veya's council, who then used salvaged projectors to share them with the people. It was not a quick process. The Aethelgard struggled. Their first attempts at farming failed. Their attempts at forming a council were bogged down in arguments. But they were trying. For the first time, they were making their own mistakes and learning from them.
