Accidental Alpha's Bride

Accidental Alpha’s Bride Chapter Twenty-Four Salvatore’s POV Her lips pursed. “Doc-” I wave her off before she reaches for the door and informs the doctor of the new development. Hospitals literally drive me nuts to a psychotic degree. My experiences from a young boy about hospitals has been the most traumatic experience of my entire life. Nothing good happens within the confines of these depressing walls, filled with pus, decay, and uncertain dreams. One second a breath and the next a loss. Deep uncertainties swirl within these walls and I hate it with every fiber in my being.

Hate to love you: The star's forbidden obsession

Hate to love you: The star's forbidden obsession

Every single time I came here, this same level of skin-prickling discomfort settled over me like an invisible blanket. I didn't like hospitals. Never did. Maybe it became worse after Mom died. Maybe it wasn't the smell. Maybe it wasn't even the sight of sickness. Maybe every hospital corridor simply reminded me that this was the kind of place where people walked in praying for miracles... and sometimes walked out carrying death certificates instead. The memory tightened around my ribs before I could stop it. I forced it back down. There wasn't any point dwelling on ghosts. Ignoring the churning in my stomach and the pain stabbing across my left arm, I kept my expression composed and hurried

BOUND MOONLIGHT: The Alpha's Forbidden Mate

BOUND MOONLIGHT: The Alpha's Forbidden Mate

"How are you holding up?" The we've been trailed off into something unfinished, and Maya understood from its shape that the story had circulated. Of course it had. Hospitals were enclosed systems with their own internal weather patterns, and James's hospitalization and the subsequent events in the corridor outside room 304 had been witnessed by at least two orderlies and one other floor nurse. She had not thought about that at the time. She had been somewhat occupied.

Bayou Whispers

Bayou Whispers

“She’ll be back in her room in ICU in a couple of hours.” “Thanks, Doc.” Broussard nodded once, then left. Curtis had always considered hospital waiting rooms to be haunted places. The amount of misery and anxiety those rooms saw could only be compared to the deep sadness surrounding funeral homes. Or the despair that slithered around battlefields. Sensitive people—psychic sensitives—perceived these spaces. Those who didn’t know of their own sensitivity just felt a sense of restlessness. A need to leave the area. True sensitives could see more than normal humans.

Nightide

Nightide

"Miss Hae?" a red-headed nurse asked as she touched Hae Mina's shoulder. She looked up with a tear stained face. "Yes?" "Hae Jae-Woo is able to have visitors now. You may go in." "Thank you," she choked out and followed the nurse. She was led down bright cheery halls that contradicted the truth behind their dark and menacing doors. She hated hospitals. Hospitals were filled with death. Hospitals were where people went when they finally gave up on life and wanted to die and if you were not there to die you were there because your life was about to change forever. Nothing good ever came from hospitals.

Whispers of the Devil

Whispers of the Devil

Layla There isn’t much that can scare me. Maybe that’s why I became a nurse. Maybe that’s why I didn’t balk at the idea of spending a summer in an entirely creepy, and no doubt haunted, French Colonial style mansion smack dab in the center of a swamp, cypress lined property in Hahnville, Louisiana. I’ve seen scarier places. I’ve walked the haunted halls of hospitals all over the country during my four years of being a travel nurse. I’ve seen things in emergency rooms that would make someone’s nightmares look and sound like child's play.

Falling For The Wrong Billionaire Brother

Falling For The Wrong Billionaire Brother

God. The hallway around me was chaos. A woman was sobbing into her phone, yelling at someone to send money for her brother’s surgery. A nurse ran past with blood-stained gloves. Somewhere nearby, a man in handcuffs was being escorted by the police — apparently, he tried to strangle himself with hospital sheets. And through it all, I just sat there, numb. I hated hospitals. The noise, the smell, the panic that clung to the air like smoke. It reminded me too much of my brother that night when the ambulance lights flashed red and blue and I knew he wasn’t coming back.

The Wife Of Great Demon King

The Wife Of Great Demon King

He took another sip of coffee and then stood up to greet the two professors to leave. The hospital corridor was still dark and murky. It is said that the hospital is the place that contains the most ghosts because it is a gathering place for melancholy souls who died unjustly, souls who cannot go to hell to change their lives but can only hang out in this place. Dr. Brown has seen a lot of deaths, tragic deaths and heartbreaking deaths, but in general, the deaths in this hospital are almost all due to not passing the disease. sick just die. These deaths usually do not carry resentment because perhaps before they die they have determined that there will be a day to leave this life.

Hayle Coven Novels

Hayle Coven Novels

It was pretty clear he struggled with his past and was trying to come to terms with everything we'd told him. I let him be, accepting his terse directions until we pulled into a long, narrow lane, shadowed on both sides by thick banks of trees, only to emerge a moment later into a parking lot. Sunlight warmed the red brick building, a tall, wide box punctuated by many old windows. It reminded me of an insane asylum, the kind you might see in a horror movie and I suddenly dreaded going inside. Hospitals were bad enough with the fresh soul echoes of the dead assaulting me. Places like this could hold onto those echoes for years, especially if the owners of those spirits died insane.

Harvey York's Rise to Power

Harvey York's Rise to Power

At the same time, he tugged Harvey’s sleeve when he whispered. “Call the cops, Harvey! It’ll be too late if you don’t…” Harvey completely ignored Simon, the angry crowd, and Amora, trying to cause trouble when he squinted at the girl. The Book of Changes had no problems. Normally speaking, the girl should have been awoken by then… While the wind was blowing in the room, Harvey suddenly realized something. The hospital was naturally haunted by ghosts. Those things would not just allow the girl to come back like that.
