It was two people wearing hideous, grotesque masks. They stood still like statues, with only their eyes blinking slowly through the masks.

But they all felt so fucking real. Jesus! The thought of having sex with a ghost made me sick all over. My stomach knotted as a full-blown terror took root. A fever ran down my body and my skin gallop with goose pimples. "Do you see her?" his question brought me back to reality. I nodded slowly. "So those times I see you talking to yourself, it is her you are talking to?" I motioned. "Jesus!" he exclaimed. "You need deliverance with serious prayers oh!"

His predatory stare gave me no doubt that he was in league with the two who had attacked earlier in the town.

Someone stepped inside. I froze. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, black and frayed at the sleeves. But what made bile rise in my throat wasn’t his clothes. It was his mask. He—she, whoever—wore a white Grim Reaper mask. There were hollow eyes that swallowed the light whole. That skull’s jaw frozen mid-sneer gave me the creeps of my life. And I was a thread close to passing out again. But then, my body didn't let me. Instead, my blood went cold enough to ache.

A disposable face mask. And something else. Something silver. My brows slowly creased into a frown. I bent down slightly and reached into the bin. When I pulled it out… My heart stopped. It was a mask. A silver mask. Covered in tiny glittering crystals that sparkled under the bathroom light. My grip tightened around it. I knew this mask. There was no doubt in my mind. I had seen this mask before. Over. And over. And over again. In my dreams.
