The billionaire's coalition.

The billionaire's coalition.

She knocked lightly on the door frame, hesitating for a moment before stepping inside. "Sorin," she began softly, her voice breaking the silence that enveloped the room. Sorin glanced up, a faint smile gracing his features at the sight of Adeline. "Adeline," he greeted warmly, setting aside the documents. "Come in." Adeline entered the study, her gaze sweeping over the meticulously organized shelves and the faint scent of leather-bound books that filled the air. She took a seat opposite Sorin, her thoughts racing as she considered the words she wanted to share.

What Happened Jane?

What Happened Jane?

“You won't believe this, Austine.” “Believe what? Did you find something leading us to the killer? I'll be back, Officer Laney,” Austine said. Jane heard the heavy footsteps of him on the line and the sounds of a radio in the background playing Alone by Alan Walker. She bit her lower lip. “You need to see this after you're done there.” “Seriously, Office Adair? Why not now? There's a lot of things you ask me to do. I probably end by the midnight,” he groaned, and sounded amused.

The Haunted's Kiss of Regret and Repentance

The Haunted's Kiss of Regret and Repentance

"That is both disgusting, disturbing, and idiotic if a spellcaster or a cult would make a cure that could be broken by a kiss. Besides, the dreams are getting worse, but I've learned that having people with me and having fun most of the time is enough to somehow help me ignore the shadow." "What about your bad dreams, Shyne? Your nightmares are getting worse, and anytime that you don't have nightmares, the hallucination happens. It's been a month since we found out about Rian's death. I think it's time for you to go back home and find more clues about how this can stop. Maybe your parents can find a spellcaster or something. I'm sure they can afford to pay for a voodoo person."

GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS

GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS

at exactly 11:59. As she said that, the dark figures disappeared and the spirits of victory whispered; "VICTORY TO THE LEGEND" and vanished. I stood up, took a deep breath, and recited in a very deep baritone voice I never knew I had; "Goddess, I summon you." She appeared and mumbled; "YOU WON MORTAL. THIS IS A MYSTERY THAT WILL LIVE FOR AGES." She stretched forth her hand and the coffin having Isabella's body appeared close to her and both vanished.

Apartment of Horrors

Apartment of Horrors

I steeled myself and opened the door. The hallway was awash in red. Smears and spatters of bright and dark blood covered the walls, the floor, and my door. My head reeled. What the hell happened? Why was there so much blood outside my door? Hadn't the guy in 603 seen it through his peephole? I couldn't help looking toward apartment 603. To my surprise, the door stood half-open, and it was dead quiet inside. I picked my way past the bloodstains and made my way to apartment 603.

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

The Shadows of Haverstone Manor

The night settled over Haverstone Manor with an unnatural stillness, broken only by the faint rustle of leaves in the forest beyond. Inside the manor, the group remained awake, the gravity of their new mission too heavy to let them rest. The glow of lanterns lit the library as Emma, Jamie, and Dr. Crane sifted through Haverstone’s remaining journals. Callan stood near the window, their silhouette faintly outlined by the silver light of the moon. The air seemed thicker than before, charged with something Emma couldn’t quite place. It was as though the manor itself was holding its breath, waiting.

Once a Doormat, Now Untouchable

Once a Doormat, Now Untouchable

"What did you just say?" Penelope's voice turned cautious. "Cal, she might've cheated on you." … Meanwhile, the supposedly unfaithful Sydney was driving toward the Hampton residence. Early that morning, Adeline had called, asking her to come by to formalize the terms they had agreed on—signing paperwork and all. Sydney had no objections. She had taken the houses and the money. Signing a contract would not be a problem. After lunch, she grabbed her bag and left the clinic. The Hampton residence was especially quiet at this hour. Dorothy often napped in the afternoon, and her sleep was light. The staff moved with hushed steps, careful not to disturb her.

This book needs to pick up speed. One chapter a day is slow to say the least. Not to mention that new story lines are constantly being added without completely ending older stories and developed characters seem to disappear. Is this an author issue or an app issue to secure reader subscriptions?

The Lie I Signed With The Mafia Ceo

The Lie I Signed With The Mafia Ceo

"Williams tried to politically assassinate me over the appetizer course." "He does that to everyone." "And the terrifying magazine woman looked directly into my soul at one point. I felt her reading my browser history." "Also normal." The elevator arrives with a soft chime, and we step inside together, the doors sliding shut on the muted gold of the hallway. Silence settles between us for a beat, comfortable in a way silence rarely manages to be around me. Adeline shifts her weight against the mirrored wall. "There are only four days left." I look at her. "I understand."

Haunting Romantics

Haunting Romantics

Someone who knew him well enough to call him out if he was losing his grip. Caroline agreed to meet him without hesitation. She watched him over her drink as he fidgeted in his seat, pushing food around his plate like it might rearrange itself into an answer. “What’s wrong with you?” she asked finally. Ben took a breath. “I think my house is haunted.” Her eyebrows shot up as she chewed, but he didn’t stop. “The ghost watched me in the shower.” He made a vulgar motion with his hand. She choked. Ben winced but barreled on. “It got quite the show. I mean, full frontal. Very educational.”

Adopted By The Werewolves

Adopted By The Werewolves

Adeline nods and starts, “I told Esther about Tasian but I didn’t listen to her when she told me to stay away from him. I kept going to meet him. But one day, I wanted to surprise him and so I went to his house without informing him first. It was the day that changed my life forever. I sneak into his house, and just outside his room, I hear voices. I didn’t want to disturb him if he was busy, so I waited. There were voices of girls coming from inside his room, more than one. I was heartbroken. I was about to leave when I saw one of his men coming towards the room and hid behind the curtains. Through a little gap, I see him going inside and three naked women come out of the room. Once the wom
