Before I can say a word, Nina has Josh up on his feet and prancing around the couches and pretty soon the whole room is filled with laughter including the cutest giggle of all that comes from my little girl. This time last year, Noah and I were both pretty tipsy and, after leaving my mom's house, we headed to the club for the night. I know what you're thinking, why would you go clubbing on Christmas night? Why is a club even open on Christmas night? The answer is pretty simple. First off, why wouldn't we go? We were two single men with no attachments whatsoever and aside from spending Christmas day with my Mom and Granddad, we had no other commitments, so if the clubs open then why not go?

My face burned at the sensation. My mind went blank except for a single thought—why was he so big? "Did you see Giselle? I brought her here so I could celebrate Christmas with her, but I think she might have gone into the wrong room." Dylan played with my hair as he replied lazily, "I didn't see her. Are you sure she's in here?" Dylan's steady tone made Blake grow more uncertain. "I… I think so?" Guilt festered within me. I couldn't believe that I was doing this to Blake.

I shifted a sly glance at Jeanne, who gave me back a confused look. "You can have your annulment," I began, and the man let out a sigh of relief, "But not until the third of January." He froze, "Excuse me?" "Well, the thing is, I need a husband for Christmas," I winced at the look on his face, "And New year." "Not interested." He deadpanned. "And you already happen to be my husband," I braved on. "Not for much longer." "You won't have to do anything. Just show up for a few days, and wear a smile. Or not. Christmas in my hometown is amazing and I promise you won't regret it." I said with a hopeful smile.

It’s my turn to dance with her.” Gabe didn’t look happy with the interruption. He and Mia had been solidly glued to one another for the past hour, but he grudgingly took a step back and Mia smiled radiantly as Jace took Gabe’s place. The entire ballroom of the Bentley Hotel was decorated for Christmas, a nod to the fact that above all else, Mia loved Christmas, and it was also a well-known fact that Gabe would do damn near anything to make his new fiancée happy.

Will you be joining the Vanderbilts?” “No.” “Are you spending Christmas with Pierce?” Jesse curiously asked. “No.” “Please tell me you’re not spending Christmas alone.” “I’m not spending Christmas alone.” “Okay? Who are you spending Christmas with? Why are you being so cryptic?” “She’s spending Christmas with me. We’re gonna hop on the jet and head south of the border for some much-needed fun in the sun,” Harry announced, suddenly appearing out of nowhere, causing Jesse to balk in disbelief.

The sky is a dull, oppressive grey, rain pouring in relentless sheets. “Rain on a wedding day,” I whisper, wrapping my arms around myself. “Isn’t that supposed to be a bad sign?” I shake my head, forcing a weak smile. “No, it’s Christmas. It’s a good day. It has to be.” Sliding out of bed, I walk toward the bathroom, determined to shake off the unease. My bare feet press against the cold floor, grounding me. I light the scented candles Zoe gave me—vanilla and lavender—and the calming aroma fills the small space. The flickering candlelight dances on the tiled walls as I step under the warm spray of the shower, letting the water wash away the remnants of my nightmare.

Just then, a message from Sophie popped up. [Honey, tons of private videos from hotels and clubs have leaked online after the holiday season! So scary! Luckily, we didn't do anything risky… but still, I can't help but worry.] She attached a censored video as an example. I opened it out of curiosity. Although the video was blurry and the sound was altered, one short clip struck me. The people in it looked just like Tessa and me! "Damn it! What's going on?" I gripped my phone, barely containing my rage. I called Tessa immediately, demanding, "Where did you post our video?"

My body shuddered underneath hers as I spread out my arms to take her hug. She pulled away, then placed her hand on my forehead. “Took away your memory of being a hybrid,” she whispered, then walked over to the boys, who were still seated in one spot. They came back to life with Hazel’s touch. “I do not think I am enjoying this holiday,” Kai said, and we all sighed simultaneously. Once more, I felt terrible for dragging them into a mess like this. The times they had planned the holidays, it turned out much better, but with me, all they got was chaos.

That was the magic of the season. Davy leaned back slightly. “This is my favorite time of the year, and these kids are killing their roles.” Melody nodded. “Mine too. Everything feels christmassy.” “A season of love,” he said. “Exactly.” Tara shifted beside them. “The both of you need to be quiet, I can barely hear the actors.” The program ended with applause. The lights dimmed and everyone sang ‘Hark the herald angels sing’. The Christmas tree was officially turned on and everyone cheered. The fireworks and everything exceeded her expectations.

“Thank you.” Zayne took me to another beautiful sight. Walking with him side by side felt dreamy. He got me new clothes, mostly jackets, boots, and I picked up this short black gown. I have a thing for black. It is safe to say I was having the best time of my life. Who would have thought my Christmas would be spent far away from family? The ride home was not awkward this time. He played music, good Christmas songs that I jammed to, and we were finally back home.
