Novelas y relatos de He Chose Her Over Me

Everything was becoming unstable at once. And somehow despite all of that, my thoughts still kept drifting back to Zara. To the past couple of days. To her standing in the hallway finally fighting back against Rosa. And fuck—The moment she said: “He still chooses me over you.” I genuinely stopped breathing for a second because she was right. That was the terrifying part and somewhere along the line, I had started choosing her naturally. Instinctively, even without thinking. And now it was becoming obvious to everyone else too.

"You destroyed me! You destroyed all of us!" "You're the one who chose to believe me!" Ariana cackled. "You're the one who chose to abandon Sandra! Don't you dare shift the blame to me!" She was right. I chose to believe her lies. I chose to hurt Sandra. I destroyed everything with my own two hands. An overwhelming tide of regret and self-loathing crashed over me. I looked at the crazy woman before me, at all the mistakes I had made. The pain in my soul reached its breaking point.

“A calculated little opportunist who saw her chance and took it. Congratulations. You fell for it.” He took a step toward me, eyes blazing. “Do not call her that.” “Why?” I challenged. “Because it hits too close to home? Because you know I’m right?” “She didn’t take anything from me,” he said through clenched teeth. “I chose her.” The words landed like a slap. I stared at him, chest tightening. “You chose her,” I repeated. “Over everything? Over me?” He stopped to look at me. “This isn’t about you,” he said.

I stood there silently, telling him to turn around and return, telling him he had made a mistake and chose me over her. This is what it felt like—like he had chosen her over me. It was something so small and simple, but I felt a growing knot in my stomach. What had just happened was a choice that would change everything, and he had just made the choice of her over me. And I had been the loser. I went to the kitchen and started digging in the fridge. I'd make him something to eat for when he got back. Maybe cooking him something would help. I slapped down the prepared meal on the counter. What was I doing? Trying to cook my way into a man's heart?

He chose her over me. "I-I'm sorry..." he said stuttering. I kept my gaze away from him. I remained silent and stared into the distance while sobbing and all I could do to answer him was crying. He immediately took back the little joy I felt when he followed me. His apology to me just means he chooses Adeena over me. I struggled to fight the feeling that something was stuck in my throat. I shook my head and faced him, full of pain and frustration.

“They survived.” He stared at her like he couldn’t process anything she was saying. “I wanted to tell you. I swear I did,” she said, breathing harder now. “But couldn't get you and Vera out of my mind... you were with her, you let her stay in the house, you took her side and you never came looking for me.” “I thought you needed space,” he muttered. “I needed you to choose me.” He looked down. “You didn’t,” she whispered. “So I chose them. I raised them. I did it all alone.”

My voice carried my irritation. She chuckled, trailing behind me. “I refuse to believe you don’t need my services. I assure you, I’m better than her,” she said bitterly. “You don’t need validation, especially not because of her,” I said flatly. She quickened her pace, stepping in front of me, forcing me to stop. “Then why choose her over me? You handpicked her for this program—something you only did with me. I should be the only one with that record, not some weakling.” Disappointment laced her words.

she said, parting her chest. She still couldn't get over her pain and the fact that I choked her just now. I laughed as I looked at her. “You pathetic loser. I did what every man would have done. You were the mate chosen by my parents, and you were the better option, so yes, I chose you.” I spoke, and there was immediately an awkward silence. “I defended you because I was going to choose you, but guess what, you are not the woman in my heart,” I added, not caring about the fact that she was already crying.

he added, excitement spilling into his voice. My life felt drained from my body. I nodded even though he could not see me. “Sure. I’ll come tomorrow. I hope you didn’t mess this up enough for her to walk away from you,” I joked. But it was more like a bitter wish. Still, the truth remained. She had chosen him over me. For whatever reason, I would find out. “Yeah, okay. I’m going to sleep so well tonight. You have no idea,” Elgin went on.

I pressed my index finger to her heart, pressing it harder with a dire expression. “You came to me yourself, you chose me yourself,” Whispering ruthlessly, I murdered another portion of her soul with my words. She stared at me in disbelief when I made all her anguish frivolous. Tears were in the corner but she didn’t allow them to fall for me. Grabbing my wrist, she yanked my hand away from her heart. “Exactly. I choose ‘you’ over everyone… I choose you, Darius.” She hissed in a whisper, pushing me back, making me fall on the ground.
