he continues "Hey, don't look so terrified. And no- I wasn't adopted." "No, wait" too many things are going on in my head. I look back at the guy with Jared, then back at the boy standing next to me. I can’t believe they’re brothers. Besides, no one said anything about a brother. They look nothing alike. And I'm not swooning, he may look different, but he's probably just like anyone else. Just more handsome. Okay, a lot more handsome, but the point stands. "You thought I'm too weird and can't possibly be related to Nathan. That's his name, by the way," the guy continues.

He quickly sobered up, looking down at me in expectance. “Right. As I was saying...” I sighed, looking down for a moment, searching for the right words but I ultimately decided that it would sound stupid anyway, so I just went with it. “Look, I’m guessing that you already know who my brother is and what he does, right?” He simply nodded. “Ok, then you clearly must’ve figured out that he has lots of “associates”, your own brother being one of them -by the way, I still can’t understand how the hell does that work between them, but, anyways...” I lightly shook my head,

"Relax, man. We're just dancing." Dante stepped closer, his presence overwhelming even in the crowded space. "That's not dancing." The man scoffed, his confidence returning as he pulled me closer, possessively. "And who the fuck are you?" Dante didn't hesitate. "Her brother." Something inside me cracked. Brother.

This guy had been my one true brother all throughout school. “I've missed you.” I said. “Blech, you cheesy motherfucker,” he said and I punched him in the stomach and we both burst into laughter. “I've missed you too. I want you to know that I've decided to not come between you and Steph. And I want to stay in touch with you mate. So I truly hope, you won't break my little sister's heart because that would mean I'd have to kill you.” He said and I smirked.

Matt said with a scowl. “I have a brother?” As I looked at him, I asked, almost choking on my own words. I shook as I tried to hold the gun still, but I couldn’t. I moved back, rubbing my temple. “NO.” I bellowed. "Now is not the time to tell me I have a long-lost brother." I hissed, "Do you realize how absurd this is? I don;t have a brother. Not him." I humorlessly chuckled, shaking my head. “He is not your brother, but he is indeed my grandson.”

“Are you messing with me?” “No,” he says, his grin deepening. “And Andre and I – we’re not super close. He’s a lot older than me and we have different moms,” he shrugs. “It’s sort of a brother by name thing. But he’s a good guy – I respect him, I trust him as far as I need to. But yeah, we’re not like…huggers. Or whatever brothers are supposed to be like. “Do you have other siblings?”
