He'll Be Coming Down The Chimney Down Novels & Stories

Carter said, "We're going to take a horse ride, enjoy the clean air and what's left of the colorful view. Most of the leaves have already dropped." "Might be the last chance you get. A heavy frost is expected tomorrow night." "Already?" Lauren asked. "Yup, before you know it, Christmas will be here." Chase grabbed his son as he raced by. "Isn't that right, Cammy Cam? Isn't that right?" Chase tickled Cameron's neck with his whiskers. "Ole Santa Claus will be coming to see you pretty soon." "He's going to be so much fun this year," Janelle said.

he bowed a forty-five degree and I internally rolled my eyes, for the nth time this night. I followed the attendant, alongside my knights and maids that accompanied me. It was a long walk. Endless hallways with gold and silver interiors. Chandeliers that lit everything, making it seem all of it sparkled at every angle. I stridden down the long stairs, and at the end of it, was my family.

It would take a while before I would fall asleep again. “Do you want to go downstairs with me?” he asked and I lifted my head. “What’s happening downstairs?” “Hot chocolate maybe and we can come back here and just lie down together. I’m not going to fall asleep anytime soon and neither are you.” “I don’t want to wake anyone.” He rolled his eyes. “The rooms are sound proof, come with me.”

It was the one who knew how to dismantle the machine from the inside out. "I'm coming for you, Vincenzo," I breathed into the darkness of the shaft. "And I'm bringing the whole house down with me.”

I remember every part of this house as if I was just here yesterday. I can hear Dante in my head telling me to wait and that they are coming but I cannot focus on his words. As the memories of my parents crash back into me, I cannot help but get a little closer. The chimney is on the right side of the house so I land on that and make a little peeping sound inside of it. It looks like there is a fox bed right at the bottom of the chimney.

Liyla's father comes out of his room down the stairs, he is wearing a paddy hat and holding some farm tools. "Yes Dad!, Dad please when would you take me to the Big Ben clock tower?, I really want to see what's inside the building." Liyla curved her mouth in a funny way to make her father agree to her request. "You know you don't have to do that to convince me, i will do anything for you my little princess, just be patient okay, but for now we have to go." Mr Dennis caressed her cheeks and held her hand as they all marched out of the house.

The pair berated one another while they fought, revealing every wrongdoing they had done throughout the years. The more Derek listened to them, the more crestfallen he became. He thought of the five babies he'd caused Nicole to miscarry over the years. He murdered his own children and hurt me—the woman who loved him. Right at this moment, one of his subordinates charged into the room. He yelled, "Bad news, boss! The estate's basement caught on fire, and Mrs. Church is still locked up underground!"

Spider and I had to press our backs against each other and use the force to push ourselves up like a pair or geckos. “Don’t look down!” He warned halfway through the climb. “Screw you!” I hissed at him. Thanks to him, I now had the urge to look down and I knew what that would do. We would go tumbling back down and crash into the wood. I wished we had remembered to take the wood away but again, it would be suspicious. So I tried my best although Spider was infuriating me to death by laughing at our predicament. When I got close enough to grab the top of the chimney, I counted to three and grabbed it without telling him.

And so I sighed and bit my lower lip hard, still anxious about what could be waiting for me and Evander inside Melinda’s rabbit hole. “Fine. Just—don’t die, okay?” Evander, to my surprise, chuckled. “You are too tensed, love. But I’ll be careful if that will give you peace of mind.” he gave me a quick kiss on the lips and then positioned himself to slide down the chimney. “Wait for my signal, love.” I nodded, my face etched with both fear and worry but still managed to crack a joke for him: “Be careful not to burn that bum.”

Sharper. Followed by the roar of wind. Freezing air blasts down from above. Ashes scatter everywhere. I feel them land on my face, my arms, my bare thighs. The cold is violent. It steals the breath right out of my lungs. Roman doesn't move. His hand stays where it is. "The chimney is open," Vane says. His voice is flat, no triumph. Just exhaustion. I hear Malakai strike a lighter. The flame flickers once, twice, then holds.
